Are you guys interested in a game of TAG?
basically the tag holder posts up a pic of his/her bike in front of a landmark,with a few clues as to whereabouts and the first one to post a pic of their own bike in front of the landmark becomes the new tag holder

NOTE THAT THE GAME ITSELF WILL BE PLAYED IN THE MEETINGS EVENTS THREAD,maybe later there will be a seperate forum ,I see the south island adv guys are gonna start a game too.

I'm in. Saw an interesting and humorous "landmark" on Saturday when I stopped at a spot to stretch my legs. Have driven past this spot many times and never noticed it. Would make a good location for use in this game.
When are we starting?

i will take my camera to work tomorrow...i got an easy one to start with.Do you think we should post here or maybe a thread in meetings events?

Depends on the landmarks. People probably have heaps of photos of them in front of lots a land marks.

No reason this has to be a fast game is there ?
Be way more fun if ya had to find the spot, go there, take the photo and then upload it to the thread Perhaps with proof like a taped bit of paper on the bike with the date on it or something !

the idea is that we learn about the our locales and of course the ride to place or get the tag.The way the game is played over at ADV there are no "file photos" allowed.We could play the game all over NZ.But it will start here...I will post up my pic in a new thread in meetings etc.As far as i am concerened i will use the same rules those guys use
with digi cameras we could ask for date time stamps???

hold ya horses!
Poll placed last night,pouring with rain this morning,also raining at lunch time...will get a pic on the way home,and post it tonite.Some enterprising person may even get it tonight!Gonna start easy,but it will require local knowledge and or reasonable proximity to grab it.The clues will be easy

OK guys I have posted the first TAG in meetings and events....there are five rules

Rules are easy...

#1 - Find the tag and reproduce the photo (as best as possible). The first person to post a found tag gets to place the next tag. If you get a tag, but somebody else posts their picture first, you lose.

#2 - Take the tag to a new location, get the photo and post it here. Give a few hints so the next person can figure out where the tag is located. Try to place the tags in interesting locations, maybe a bit of history that can be found down some nice twisties.

#3 - Tag must be a) findable and b) may be placed on a dirt road if a street bike can make it. Maintained gravel is OK, but make sure to let folks know that gravel is required to get to your tag. We don't want to exclude those who don't like to get dirty.

#4 - File photos are NOT permitted. You gotta ride to play this game.

#5 - Your bike has to be in the TAG picture

maybe someone who is good on Google maps or something can keep a map of the tags.The tag holder is the only referee of the validity of the claimed tag
but the picture should be almost identical

the "tag" is the photo(or rather you are "in" and so have to pick a new site for a pic),theres nothing hidden
