They did that here and now they're back. Are they copying us, or did we copying someone else? I can never remember...

That's exactly what the cops did here after the amalgamation with the snakes. Scrapped the bike units because they claimed the cops kept falling off the CB650s (which, granted, were miserable pigs for handling - I had one) . Was years before the reinstituted the bikes. Big mistake

Ambo bikes here, the ambo turkeys-in-charge don't allow them to be used if it's raining. Or after dark. True.

DOH! In the UK especially, they need patrol vehicles which can duck and dive!

I never did understand why they took their bikes off the road. Surely, they are much more useful in dense traffic and, in fact for getting the the S.O.T.C way faster than any car.

Hell's teeth, with all the flash fairings, the modern Beamers could be fitted with a Tamer Shot-gun. If I can shoot reasonably accurately from the back of a galloping horse, I can't see why a biker-cop can't engage cruise-control, whip out his Tamer, and shoot the fuck out of the perp's tyres.

In-built Tasers to deliver 50,000 volts to an itinerant driver's car thus fucking the electronic ignition and bringing the car to a rolling halt. Totally safe, eh?

Maybe a couple of Spike, heat-seeking missile-launchers...The missiles are just six inches long but deliver one hell of a smack. Ideal for taming patched persons.....but I think we'd want to know that the cop actually did like his mother-in-law, otherwise horrid outcomes might result.

They can't argue that a car is required when a perp is arrested. All the biker cop has to do is handcuff the perp to a lamp-post and call for back-up to collect him/her, then hive off ready to shoot down the next law-breaker.

Bring back the biker-cops, I reckon.

I completely agree. The benefits that would bring - the unit would virtually pay for itself.

Fucken whingeing poms and their hardcore OSH bullshit...........nowhere else will you see people wank on so much about safety......worst bit is NZ follows the poms like they're the fucken business.....

I'm glad we are'nt put through as extreme a safety lectures here but it's only a matter of time.

OSH has it's place don't get me wrong, but there's a limit as to when it's going too far, like the Brits do.
