Just need to sort out a lil disagreement.
What is the out out bike lap record for Taupo track 1--the A1GP track ??
What are the 600 guys doing?

For the record my oponent is argueing that Stroudy and ray clee were doing 1.14s on the thou's
I thought 1.30's were more like the numbers.

We have both recieved our ex factory suzuki GSXR 1000 K7 race bikes and with 200hp on tap atw the lap times are going to tumble! Actually it should have been a seperate blog but 2 days after recieving the bike and on my first ride i managed to smash the current Taupo track record for a motorcycle with a 1.30 lap time ;)

The A1 GP cars can beat my short-track PB on the long track... :(

Does this mean the A1 GP cars are fast or you are slow?

You might be hard to beat this weekend Cookie if everyone can stay upright and get a race in!

I did 1:34 on a stock ZX-6R. 1:32's for a 600 im guessing.

1.30.9 is a one thirty in my book, a high 130, but a one thirty all the same.

It's all accademic however. It's 1.9 seconds quicker than the previous lap record, held by one Mr A Stroud riding the very same machine.

Hmmmm.

Nah, we don't need an accountant. After all, LG just throw money at the team willy nilly. So much we don't know what to do with it.

That's what I've heard anyway.......

Not sure when Mr Stroud supposedly set this previous record, on the very same machine, as in the last 2 years I can only remember him riding the Taupo long track once, this was a suzuki riders day in Nov when his faster times were high 1.30's with the bike running it's old K7 engine. If there was a national round at Taupo I'd suspect you'd see 29's possibly 28's with the likes of Jones/Bugden/Stroud pushing each other.

I was under the impression he competed at last years RRS after Wanganui at Taupo circuit 1.

That business of rounding times down seems odd to an outsider, but it seems to be the convention in racing, so...

It matters more in drag racing, where a person who's gone down the strip in 8.99 s can call it an "8 second quarter mile". A bit like claiming to have run a 4 minute mile when your time is 4:59.

Andrew did a 1-32-8 A1GP Track,at a Suzuki track day, Not a race meeting, and on old tyres an old motor

For the record, Andrew is the man! Lap times mean FA in the real world but they are great for sponsors to see some progress and i dont edit the blogs, i send the info in and it gets edited and entered for me. A 1.30.9 is still a 1 min 30 lap time GET A FUCKEN LIFE
