Compatable forks?

Just wondering if the forks from an '89 suzuki gsxr1000 will fit in a '90 gsxr250.

No they won't, because there was no such thing.

More to the point, anything can fit anything with the correct triple tree and clamps.

I'm guessing you mean GSXR1100 - I wouldn't bother. The 250 would be better off with a change of fork oil, check the seals and possibly buy springs that suit your weight. Cheaper and you'll get more bang for the buck than engineering relatively crude 20 year old forks onto something you aren't, lets face it, going to keep forever.

As JD said the forks will"fit" but then you gotta match up the wheel, brakes etc.
From memory you'd be better fitting the front end out of a GSX400 impulse which looks the sameish as a gixxer 250 front end

Or if its the suspension you are trying to improve, just put a set of emulators in there.

As someone addicted to fucking about with older bikes i certainly dont wont to rain on your parade but,leave it be mate,as has been posted if your that keen/clever anything can be made to work but in this case i say let it go.

The Race Tech gold valve emulators are an excellent device, those and the correct springs for your weight will transform your front end. With a little help the stock gear will perform far better than you'd think and probably better than you'll ever need.
Only drawback though is that the forks will be so good , you'll be wanting a rear shock upgrade.... :)
