Forget about society. What about her unborn child? What about her previous children? What about her next six kids?

Clearly this "woman" lives in a world where there are no consequences for her actions. Surely that's the "crime" here?

Mully
14th May 2009, 09:20
Her kids are the immediate victim, certainly. Society will reap what she has sown when her kids follow the same path.

I've got $10 that says her 19 year old is unemployed and has at least one kid.

8th Drink driving conviction?
15 disqualified convictions?
She (was) fucking pregnant with ANOTHER KID and pissed off her face?
Does not deserve to live under our laws, throw her in a jungle for the rest of her life. It's a matter of time before she kills someone whilst drunk and behind a wheel.

Lissa

She needs help, but you can only help those who want it.

Shes a selfish alcoholic who obviously has no regard for her health or her children and unborn child, and she probably has a mental illness.

Best thing to do is supervise her until her child is born so she doesnt do anymore harm to the child, and then adopt the child out to someone who really wants children.

Beemer

They should be legally allowed to sterilise the bitch - whatever problems she has, she shouldn't be allowed to breed. Sounds like her other kids don't live with her so how long until the one she's pregnant with now gets given to an aunty?

WTF....
"Judge Chris McGuire told Brown she would have been remanded in custody if she did not have to care for her children"

Sounds like Judge Chris McGuire needs a serious adjustment in his/her definition of what "care for a child" means!!!

Southside Uni I think...

Just realised, she had the kid last year - it's now seven months old and she wasn't pregnant in court, my mistake. What's the bet she will be pregnant again soon though, it's probably her only form of income.

And what the fuck is the point of disqualifying her from driving when she has NEVER held a licence? Confiscate the car or throw her in jail, she's obviously not learning anything from being 'penalised' (what a joke) in this way.

*face-palm*
This just epitomises how wrong our society is in certain areas.
Just every aspect of this story is so sad and pathetic.
The child, btw, has now been born, and it is as yet unknown <s>if any</s> <i>how much</i> mental damage has been caused by the "mother"s excessive drinking (and probably smoking and drug abuse too, to make an assumption that has a very high likelihood of being correct).

If the government could use some tax dollars wisely, they could offer $5000 to some of these women to be sterilized. That way it's their own choice. This could save $1000's of future benefit payouts and jail costs for their kids who never had a shit show of doing much cos they got too drugged fucked in the womb, or have severe foetal alcohol syndrome

damn good idea. my brothers ex was advised to be neutered after her last baby was born, and she flat refused. she relies on the kids money to feed her drug habit. shes had 5, the oldest being about 14 [and has been coming home covered in love bites for years] and the youngest is 7 months. for a while, she had 3 under 3. the younger 3 are related to me, but the other 2 arent.
when mum looked into taking custody of the younger kids, we were told she would also have to take on the older kids as well, cos their own grandparents didnt give a shite.

i think for certain "women", being fixed shouldnt even be an option... it should be forced on them. they neglect their first child? fine... that child gets removed, and their next pregnancy results in neutering and removal of the baby. should be the same for the males as well. perferably, the removed kids should be kept together, but might not always work.

The British did it as well , very popular at one time ( around turn of the century , ) then that nice Mr Borman suggested the idea to his boss , then got state funding for the project...

I think we should pay these single mothers to have children. Correction, a child.

When they drop another one their benefit stays the same. As in the USA.

These drop-kick no hopers have unloved, unwanted children just to up their benefit.

And where the hell is Christine Rankin, Cindy Kiro, CYFS and all the rest of them. They should be down on that woman like a ton of bricks.

All fat public servants, bureaucrats, sitting on their behinds doing nothing, as usual.

This kind of thing really pisses me off when sluts breed like rabbits just to milk the government of as much money as they can while I have to work full time on the minimum wage to pay for them through taxes. Put the fucking dick down, get a fucking job and start acting responsibly bitch. My ex gfs mum is one of those sluts, she got over $800 a week from the government for having 5 kids, the kids probably didn't have more than $200 a week spent on them in total while she has enough money for Sky TV, nice food and a new mobile phone every week among other things. And yet the kids don't even get looked after that well, 3 of them ended up in CYFS care for a few months.

smoke... i wish cyfs would remove my neice and 2 nephews from their "mother." shes got 5 kids as well, but she wastes their money on p. often, the younger 3 get dumped on their father [my brother] cos shes "got no money for food" yet shes got tons of money for piss and drugs.
weve called both cyfs and the cops so many times, but she turns on the waterworks, they walk away from her, and my brother ends up in the cells for a night.
my neice and nephew, last time they came, arrived with burns all over their fingers. the mother admitted they were from a hot drugs knife. the niece told us they happened on daddys heater. after a bit of coaxing, she said the truth. sad that at 3 years old shes already being coached to lie and blame her father for injuries.

id love to take the 3 littlies myself, but that would be impossible, and my parents cant cope with them all day every day. hell, mum gets worn out after just an afternoon by herself. with me working weekends, i cant help out any more.
someone in the govt needs to grow a fuckin backbone and start putting down rules on how many kids a certain type of person can have. moreso if they come from at risk families themselves. id love to see a limit applied to my neice, as shes now 3rd or 4th generation at risk on her mothers side

Certainly New Zealand runs a system which pays the best, to those who do the least.

More kids = more pay. Less savings = more pay. No provision for retirement ? = more pay.

A cash based benefit system with no work requirement puts us into a no-win situation.

Strangely when the idea of working for a benefit is proposed, the left get very upset.

Ms. Bradford famously said "working for the dole is like being giving periodic detention because you don't have a job".
Which while an effective an emotive statement, neatly missed the fact that for workers, paying income tax based on earnings is like being fined because you do have a job.

It also neatly dodges the fact, that many workers juggle kids, school and a minimum wage job, to pay tax, and take home less, than the neighbour on the DPB.

Bling'd. Well said indeed.

I actually think it's an excellent idea to offer a voluntary one-off lump sum payout to either sex for a sterilisation op. Must be irreversible.
I think the "right" type of person would be short sighted enough to take the cash.
This way, it's not demeaning or whatever the ultra-PC crowd always drone on about. It's free choice, and they're getting paid to do it.
Will save money in the long run, as the rabbit-like breeding would be cut short, so a one off payment is better than a lot of ongoing payments for years.
It couldn't be accused of being targeted to a particular race, sex, ethnicity; so it should be just offered across the board, and hopefully would get taken up by the people whom society would benefit the most by having it done, eg. Rachael Brown, the woman in the news article. Can anyone suggest that <i>that</i> women should rightly be having any more children?
She cares so little about her children that she drinks excessively frequently whilst pregnant, and not only that but drives whilst under the influence.
2.5 times over the legal limit whilst 7 Months pregnant?
8 times <i>caught</i> drunk driving... How many times not caught?
15 times caught driving with no licence!
Drunk on the day she's supposed to be in court for drink driving?

The sad fact is that the woman is certainly an alcoholic. All the rest flows from that.

And, being so, no condemnation, no punishment, actual or prospective, will make any difference.

For an alcoholic, drink, (in excess) and the follies and bad choices that flow from a perpetual drunken state, is not a matter of choice but of biological necessity.

I do not mean by that to excuse her, or condone her actions. Merely to point out that society has no effective means of changing her. Nor has she the capability of changing herself. And until society recognises alcoholism for what it is , a condition that must be treated, rather than a moral dereliction to be punished, she , and thousands like her will continue on the same path. A few will be "saved" (bad word, but I think of no other) by organsiations like AA. The majority will not. The misery that they make for themselves is a far greater punishment than anything a court can hand out. Judge not, that ye be not judged.

The only other alternative is the eugenic one, already mentioned. In practice, no modern society could endorse it.

Can't give you bling as I've given out too much in the last 24 hours but very well put. I'm self-employed and when times are tough, well, that IS tough as far as the government is concerned. We don't have any kids and as my husband is in fulltime employment, we don't even qualify for a community services card or anything else. If I were to register as unemployed, I wouldn't get the dole either, as he works. It really pisses me off - if I left him (god forbid, who else would put up with me?!!) I'd be better off!

You need a licence to drive a car/bike, and yet to welcome a new life into this world and teach it right from wrong all you need to do by the looks of it is get so drunk you pass out over a park bench and let some stranger have his way with you. No tests, check ups, history searchs, just lay there and take it......Bam your a mother.

So the kids involved are brought into this already hard world on the back foot.

Chances the kids will get the correct help and break this cycle? ..Slim to none

As for letting her out "reabilitated", what a crock! Shes served time before and no doubt will be at it just like before at us the tax payers cost.

What I would like to know is......WHERE THE FARK IS CYFS!!!!!

Accusing concerned people like me, who ring up with video evidence of children being physically/verbally abused, left to wonder around on a shared driveway at the ages of 3-6, 4 year old sent 2 kms up the road on her own to bring back fish and chips (this happened a lot), constant parties and foul/abusive language, all on tape. One morning I videoed the female baby manufacturer (not mother by any means) scream at the top of her lungs in the childs face, "YOU STUPID LITTLE CUNT,YOUR A FUCKEN CUNT, FUCK YOU STAY OUT SIDE!" threw the kid onto the deck and slammed the door, this was the 4 year old. Should really give the video to Cambell live and tell him CYFS were'nt interested.
The Hori on the phone talked down to me and treated me like I was commiting some crime by calling. I won't waste my time with that shit again, thank fuck HNZC moved them away.
But that's where cyfs are if your wondering, try it sometime, they'll make excuses for them without having ever met them, or investigated.
The guy I talked to had such severe hori speak I could hardly understand him, i'm sure he had just been released from prison.
He was rude, excused every action I mentioned, demanded to know everything about me and nothing about them.
CYFS is a joke.
But that's only speaking from personal experience.......

Exactly, she will never reform, yet she will cause endless issues for the community, put her down, and try and give the off-spring a chance.
