Used to have a need to be very careful over that until I put the PR4s on.
I never had much of a problem on pr2s or 3s Driving sensibly and within the conditions. But when giving it a bit of a fistful in the hopes of making a pass on the best passing stretch for ages the 1300s have a habit of suddenly spinning the rear.
No problem if upright but you can find you suddenly occupy 2 wheel tracks after all... DAMHIK.
That is the trouble with great tyres you take them for granted.

Oops... my bad. Looked at his and didn't look close enough... thought it was an old photo but it's not.
So, I've removed my photos and allow 5ive post a new tag.

Yes, I've pulled off at that spot a couple of times to take pictures - it's a pretty mean spot for a sunset. But it's a fair challenge getting back onto the road afterwards.

I'm sorry to report that what initially looked like a flesh wound proved to be more serious. 'Edgey ' complained of a loss of feeling in his lower half and I suggested he just needed a nap to get over the excitement of the day. When I woke him it was clear just how serious the injury was.
He always told me he'd rather burn out than fade away and be sold on Trademe. Surrounded by close friends, he spoke of his exhilaration every time he was placed in my bike jacket pocket. The sound of the Norton bursting into life was something his Huawai friends could only dream of. He just wished he hadn't wanted to feel the wind through his case that fateful day when he decided to take a peek out of my pocket. With a heavy heart I switched of his life support yesterday. But I'm happy to say he was an organ donor and doctors were able to harvest both his SIM and SD card so a little piece of Edgey lives on. :)

Yup, sure can. Although it's quite narrow, so sometime when there isn't a lot of other traffic makes it easier to get the photo. Also, it might be locked "after hours" - I haven't checked.

Bought it a little over 5 years ago with about 15,000miles on the clock. Averaged over 30,000km a year since then. Had to get the odo reset when it hit 99,999miles (digital doesn't roll over like the old analogue). Done nothing to the engine. Just a bit of carb work and the usual consumeables. Apart from using a bit of oil (always has) it's still running sweet. I fully expect to have to reset the odo at least one more time.

I actually had a meeting out that way this morning. It was too hard to resist picking up the tag on the way back to the office!
I love it when I get paid to ride my bike thru the countryside on such a lovely day...
That's the beauty with my job. A bit of KB now and again isn't frowned upon and helps free up the mind.
:2thumbsup
But don't speak too loudly, others will be jealous...

Ok, how dot you play this game?
You figure out where the last picture was taken, go take a pic of your bike there and post it.
Then take another pic of your bike somewhere totally different and post that one too.
We then all try and figure out where your new pic was taken, etc etc.

Ok, how dot you play this game?
Really easy to play...
If you know where the "tag" is then you go there and photograph your bike in the same place - you claim the "tag".
Then off to somewhere else - within the Auckland Council area only - and photograph your bike and post the photo for others to work out where it is.
The first to put their photo up has the tag and so on...
If you know where Big Dog photographed his bike, then you go there and take the same or as close to the same photo with your bike and post it before anyone else to claim the tag. Then you go to another place and photograph your bike and put up the "new tag".
Have fun!
Here's a link to the "rules" as explained when the game started: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/group.php?groupid=107

Yeah mate, I thought it might be somewhere close I could get to on my daily ride home (Southern Auckland), but couldn't figure out where.
Signage is hard to read, so I tried finding it by direction of sunrise/sunset, and even resorted to google/maps. No luck.

Yeah I spent a bit of time on Google maps, but no joy. To be fair, I was only really looking in rural areas on the south side of Auckland.

OK guys...
If you are all talking about the photo of the bike at Duders Beach then you're all discussing a red herring... the tag is in post 448, the white church tag posted by Big Dog. That's the tag that you need to be locating and, by the way, if Big Dog is looking for it as well... then
Now, off you go and find the church...

No quick takers so I'm assuming it's not familiar to anyone. I thought it might be a bit tricksy so took another photo with enough geographic clues for the really clever amongst you to figure out fairly quickly. :yeah:

Within approx. 30min ride (no traffic) of last tag. Inside Auckland boundary. Last photo will definitely help. Gravel is hard packed. Biggest danger as I discovered was sticking your boot into a massive fresh cow pat.
