Well needless to say leading up to this event I was a tad nervous not having ridden for a long while and only even done one proper race... Though through some thought (and a bit of shit giving) found myself entering into F1 and F2.

Bike was readyish thursday night but not having set up anything properly was sure I was gonna either make a fool of myself or end up having a nap in the kitty litter.:doctor:

Saturday morning rolls around and hmmm looks wet... shit is wet. So after a quick tyre change rolled out in the superbike practice/qualifying never ridden in the wet on a track and still nervous about how the bike handels and such... but managed to place 15th which I thought wasn't to bad.

Supersport practice was still very damp but I managed to drop 7 seconds and qualified 11th (or 13 according to ML ?? curious)

Finally racing. Horrendous start (note to self... work on starts) headed into turn 1.... holy shit holy shit holy shit.... I being a little afraid to be argy bargy backed off and settled near the back of the middle pack. Started to get into my groove near the end of the race. Drew brushed passed and I managed to get ahead when he had a cross field excursion.. but had a slide at the A1 corner which allowed him to get in front again which means I settled in 21st. Also managed to drop another 7 seconds.

Supersport race one. Got a much better start and learning from the first race was much more agressive going into turn one and managed coming out of turn 1 in 12. Started getting a bit of pace on and felt a lot more comfortable on the bike, even if she was moving around a bit much....Started going really well and catching the pack in front when in coming out of the a1 corner all hell broke loose. bike let go and started a highside... Luckily I was bracing myself for the bump so when I shot out of the seat and had a close inspection on my front gaurd catching myself on the screen and popping my foot down when coming back down somehow managed to save it. (went and chatted to the guy who was behind me and even he doesn't know how I didn't pull a superman act ahhahahahah) Anywho lost two places so slipt back to 14th. A lap later I was on the heels of the 2 who over took me when someone else did what I did but didn't manage to hold on (one of the pro photographers has the pics on his site) so the race was called off and so I ended up 14th. Managed to drop a further 7 seconds on my fastest lap.

Superbikes R2- with rain looming but the track drying fast I made the mistake of going out on wets.... enough said started getting ridiculously loose so just cruised around with the idea of not getting lapped hahaha

Supersport R2- Changed to slicks and with my previous placing I was hopeful of sitting around the same sort of positioning. Got an averave start again but still found myself mid pack going into turn one. Unfortunately someone cut in rather fast and with nowhere to go had to stand the bike up....right in front of me. So swinging wide almost too wide hahaha but ended up right near the end... over took a few people but catching up wasn't on my side so ended up 19th

Over all a great weekend. Need to work on my starts and my attitude so as to be more agressive and not let people through, but other than that a few tweaks suspensionwise to the bike and I should (cash willing) be all set for round 2.

Big thanks to boys who helped out as well as Robert who had a quick look and some helpfull suggestions to my suspension.

Hope to see ya'll soon.

The bananarama machine will live again mooohahahaha

Good work dude I thought you rode well and sensibly in consideration of the conditions and your tyres
Remember as Eddie said you need to get into the groove again and for a first effort you did well, you improved through the day and you didnt crash and you asked lots of questions from other riders so good effort !

Sorry bout me snoring tho lol

Good shit man, was wicked racing with you in the first. I had intended to go past on the rear wheel, but quickly realised I didn't have anywhere near enough lap time buffer to pull it off and still beat you.

It's obvious that I need to park my bike for 18 months before I can get on the pace. Bloody well done and it was a great read.
