Where do you keep your tools?
bolt them down to the bottom next to the bike i suppose? they even come in doubles!! the price of these is about the price of hiring a parking space in japan for a year, so if you had to choose between a batch and this? id probably go with the batch cause i'm poor :P

Here's a scenario - retard parks on the lid and leaves the park brake off.
Someone raises the lower car and prepares to drive off.
Vibration causes the car on the lid to roll off and land on the lower car as it leaves.

Nelson Muntz can be heard saying "Ha Ha" :devil2:

solution = stick a fountain or some crazy ornament smack bang in the middle so no one parks there? loss of parking space for Retard Protection?

And what's the bet you could build your own for a hell of a lot cheaper?

id say putting aside the digging/ excavating cost/ council fees for digging etc
all it needs is an automatic hydraulic piton fixed on an X-bar frame made with I Beams to support the weight with a top made of stainless steel ( hell of a job to lift by hand) bolted on and tiles/concreated etc hmm, fetching about 10/20 grand? as opposed to 60grand where they install it for you and cover the top for a cheaper price for you, and you get a warranty :) not much use waking up the next morning and not being able to raise your bike (hehe sounds like zombies) to get to work cause the remote u made only works when its above ground hahaha

xcuse my spelling im in a hurry, gtg finish my paperwork for my new bike (courtesy of Frosty :):):) )

Versions of these are already here and there are some in Newmarket. We have the one that sits on the ground. You drive up and it lifts the car up into the air and you can park under.

Next it'll be the underground house with the tennis court on top.

What concerns me is arriving home drunk, getting the thing to go up. Driving on. Hoping out and pressing the button then passing out falling back onto the platform and being lowered into the ground only to wake up hours later with no way of getting out. Although I will have my car with me.

Sex in the back seat will take on a whole new meaning. So you've just finished your sexual escapade. A courier drives up and parks half on the platform not realising. You push the up button and away you go.

Passing out whether medical or otherwise and falling half on the platform and half off while it is lowering may have serious consequences.

But a neat idea all the same as are the parking buildings with car lifts.

I suppose if you have a ferrari etc the money isn't an issue...

I'd just build my own...

Make up frames weld em up etc... all up for all the steel you are looking about 800 bucks...

The hydraulics would burn you like all hell...

Don't know price on those but wouldn't be over 10k... including pumps etc...

Big rubber seal to go around it....

um.... taadaa?

All up for under 20k you can just build it yourself...

Which is infact cheaper than a kitset garage anybody else is offering.

For the sake of 2-3 weekends work, why pay some other joker the extra 60 grand for his time?

Very cool idea, would like to understand what happens how you keep rain water out and once in how do you stop it from becoming a swimming pool with a car in it..LOL

its called an automatic pump with a float to activate it
as soon as the water gets to a min level, pump starts and well... no flood

Easy M, fit it so it retracts into the ceiling space, trouble is Bond will find an alternative way to park it.

Aha, but what happens when you lodge a Building Consent application? Would they ask for a stormwater management plan? Or tanking details even? What about compliance with E2/AS1? And is this structure really sustainable and environmentally friendly? :nono:
