Pulled the bike out of the garage. Side stand down warmed her up on a bit of choke went back into the rarge to put on helmet. Just like always, then,
THUD.......
Then slience
Broken clutch lever, bent footpeg, scratched mirror, tail section resembles a cheese grated piece of do-do, Side cover gouged, swing arm bobbins cheese, bar-end mashed.
And spewing.
The rules of engagment have now changed. Its never happening again.
Never.

I've never heard that one before....... The no-speeder! classic.
New parts got ordered this avo.
I'd just had all the farings off to replace the cooling fan behind the radiator and cleaned, lubed and adjusted cables, replaced coolent etc etc
After snapping the end of the clutch lever with a huge monkey wrench i still went for a ride though!

Bugger. Never leave mine on the stand when she's running. Too big and heavy and vibrates like forty bastards. Wouldn't trust the stand.

It happened to me when I was waxing the chain, the bike fell over on me then into a fence, the only damage was a small crack in the windscreen and a dent to my ego.

Mate did that just recently with his electriglide, only difference was it landed on his ankle pinning him (dosent help that he has only one leg) He had to wrench it out from under it and ride for another hour to a mates place where he just had to roll off the bike (not a leg to stand on)
He is at this moment in wellington hospital for the next month, after surgery to rebuild a break and torn tendons !
