Come on mate, I have no idea what rugby is all about but it seems pretty exiting compared to Cricket, if I live five life times I'll still never see what anybody gets from that 'game'. I'd rather try and make faces out of the patterns in the curtains

Pussy I hope your team kick it over the bar or fall on the floor with the egg a lot for ya mate . Go the....who we talking about again?

Usual Friday night, couldn't be bothered cooking, ring our local restaurant, usually they are booked out on Fridays. No worries come down they say - me and Mrs merv get there, carpark almost empty, we end up being one of two couples there so at least we weren't the only ones not watching rugby. Home again now. So rugby is affecting the recession worse than the recession itself then huh! Poor buggers, only 4 people eating tonight.

Being an ex Wellingtonian its always interesting when the Chiefs & Canes clash, but given the way I was screaming "Smash them smash them" last night I think its safe to say I'm fully converted to the Chiefs now lol.

Bloody good game, and I hope the crusaders kick bokkie butt tonight.

The thing that _really_ pisses me off is that I was out of town for work last night so couldnt actually goto the game and had to watch it, and next week I'm away for the long weekend so even if we get a Chiefs home final I still cant bloody go.. Arse biscuits!

One thing about the Crusaders is that as the underdog they can produce their best games so Sunday's game will be a cracker.

One side of me was backing the Hurricanes as they seemed the weaker looking team and 'if' the crusaders win Sunday morning they stood a better chance of winning the final. The other side of me was backing the Chiefs due to them being the stronger team and would have a greater chance of beating the Bulls on their home turf.

The best possible finale is the Crusaders v Chiefs here in Hamilton.

Sigh. Like the All Blacks, the Hurricanes are afflicted by the choking gene.

It's hard to see any outcome other than a Bulls v Chiefs final in Pretoria next week and then the Bulls to confirm their superiority over this year's competition.

Sadly your right. But we can hope that the boks get bashed. Either by the crusaders or by the chiefs.

It's nice to watch a game sometimes where you aren't interested in who wins or loses -- no emotional attachment to either team winning. You can just sit back and enjoy a great game of rugby. I enjoyed watching last night's game -- there were some very good moments; Muliania's second half try was very cool.

There's a liquor ban? No signs about. Pretty sure they'd just confiscate it anyway surely.

Pub was just down from the stadium, called the mill I think, so not the CBD ay.

The Mill is just down the road, but its a bottle store not a pub. And yes the liquor ban does extend all the way up there, Mill St is the northern boundary of the liquor ban.

See http://hamilton.co.nz/page/pageid/2145827079/Hamilton%20City%20Safe#liquorcontrol

They take the ban pretty seriously.. If your lucky they will just make you tip out all your booze, if your unlucky you get arrested and spend the night/weekend in the cells and get a big fine when you goto court.

Oh ok that was where we got our box then. Lol, well the pub just around the corner from that or something.

How are out of towners meant to know anything at all about a liquor ban being enforced lol?!?! In Auckland there are signs about where there's a liquor ban.

I think about three cop cars drove straight past us with our box of beer anyway so must've been our lucky night :Police:

I may be a sporting freak, I enjoy watching and playing a variety of them, including the ones involving motorcycles. However, being as how I had my head busted several times in 1981 in incidents to do with Rugby, I am hardly a fanatic for the game.

There are several sports I don't like, but I have never had any inclination to burst into threads where they were being discussed to slag them off.

So, in the interests of science - can you shed any light on why joyless, thick cunts like your good self find it necessary to seek out discussions on things you don't like and then bore everyone to tears with your incredibly witty comments?

Firstly, thank you for the positive comment regarding my wit. As this is a windup, and you bit like a shark, I'll take that as a compliment also.

I hadn't made any personal remarks, you certainly have; saying "joyless thick cunts like your good self" just serves to confirm my suspicions about rugby fanatics. (Some connection with head injuries perhaps?)

I too like other sports but very few involve a ball, whether it be egg-shaped, round or dimpled.

As for leaping into threads regarding things I don't like; kb'ers do it all the time, it's cheap entertainment. Feel free to leap onto the 'Hogs and other cruisers' and have a go at a Harley rider or two, just for fun. When you're done with that.....get over yourself.

So what you're saying is that you came here looking to be offended?

That is, you make stupid comments about the thread subject, and then when someone points out how stupid you are, you bleat about "personal attacks". And then you say as how this is some sort of clever thing you do, cheap entertainment - well, if it is, stop whinging about the reaction you get, you joyless thick cunt.

Oh, and by the way - if your idea of a "windup" is "Rugby sucks, that's about all I have to say on the matter." , you might wanna consider some new material, as that is pretty lame.
