Hi all, i race in pre82 junior and was wondering were all the pre 82 bikes are (all types ,not just LCs) ,there seems to be heaps of pre 89 around , so whats happened to all the older bikes, Sitting in sheds needing fresh fuel and some enthusism? it would be great to have more than 5 or 6 in post classic(pre82), The more numbers we can get on the track at club events the more chance of a seperate Pre82 race instead on racing with the Pre89, its much more fun mixing it up with older bikes on 18" wheels than with VFRS , ZXRs
and the like with sticky rubber and alloy frames
See you at VMCC round 2 with you Pre82s :bleh:

I have a rd350LC, up till recently there was no hope of p89 down south so we have always had pretty good p82 (mixed with p72)
I dont really understand your comment re 18" wheels, as P82 wheels and tyres are open. My LC has 17" rims withs RS125 slicks, goes great !!

On a good day there would be that many RD350LC racing down here + everything else

Cool, They do exist then, re the 18 wheels, i just think pre 82 should race on 18" wheels to keep them period, i also have a 87 tzr250 and spares and i did think about using those wheels and slicks from 125GP, It would slow the big dollar Senior bikes with with GIXER wheels down heaps running on 18" with less tyre choice , and make them more of a hand full :eek:lol, isnt that why we race old bikes

You seen my bike Jase, gave ya a good run for ya money to aye... but I think I saw more of your bike :shifty:
Heres a pic of Yowlings 2, mine, tuono's and Rashika's 250
There are more that come out on CAMs days like this comming w/e which is also having a 2 strokers class only.
But in that period they were raced on 17's unless it was proddy racing.
Heard of Astrolites, Dymags etc?

hope all is well with gwenda and 99, my lc has done a bit of gardening in the past lol, i have a gear box full of nuetrals and grindy bits at the mo, leaky crank seal ans sucked the gear box dry, i think they like having oil in them, are the dashes 99 and the other lc mounted on the top of the triple clamp bracket or underneath as factory, they just look quite high above the bars compared to my road bike, my rad bike was like that for ages till i saw a original one and moved them down, looked much better
Where were those pics from?

Most of them are from Ruapuna. Post Classic are what we ride when we are waiting for the next bucket race. Before Dangerous seems like hes a RD riding god.....think again, he slow as fook!
My GSX400F is on 17's for the free rubber and it does help handling slightly:shifty:

We (PMCC) have just got the use of the Roys Hill Kart Track(in Hastings) and are having fun F4/5 meetings on a great track, even had motards there last meeting(15 of) and the kart guys think it great ,

99 is/was as in those pics standard... but due to being wiped out I have now mounted it like #68... straight out from the 2 small 6mm threads under the trip clamp.
RD riding god , i like that ;-) Ohh dont listen to that prick (nice prick) I aint no farking god, I just like old poo'ie strokers, besides a LC god would have beter control than this...

I read the article about Elise and the T20 recenty, nice looking bike and sounds like she has a great future in racing Yeah but for the last 2 months shes been wheel chair bound, I put her in the ambo at the kink with a well rooted lower leg.. 45kg is a piece a piss to lift. (was on her KR150)
Got a tell you tho, when racing with her and she has passed me at Levels on that bike you forget shes a 14yr old kid, it sunk in when I helped her that day near to tears (farking brave girl playing a mans game) as she squezed the hell out of my hand waiting for the ambo... great respect to her and the young kicking us old farkers arses.

All this talk of LC,s just got me all nostalgic.:niceone:
Back in the early 80,s i used to be a marshall at Snetterton race circuit in norfolk UK.
the "proddy racin 250 class & 350 class......... just as the YPVS models were out. was some of the best racin i have ever seen:eek:
Used to keep us marshalls busy picking up the carnage of 40 'budding world champs' trying to squeeze thru turns 1 & 2.:chase:
Remember a guy called Gerry Marshall used to take great pleasure in nudging the shoulder of the guys he was passing.
Oh dont get me started................... trans-atlantic challenge...... norton rotary.....z1,s oh the good ole days:niceone:

Cool mate, ive got a dvd with the pro/am series on it, start with LCs then YPVS . There MAD !!! and Barry Sheene is doing the commentry:niceone: He saying it makes his racing look safe and there is no way he would race with the LCs lol. Niall Mackenzie , Alan Carter , Kenny Irons , and Ray Swann , all having mad battles on bikes they dont own, let alone know what there riding till they draw a key out of a helmet sitting on the Wrangler bike, SO COOL !!!
So are you going to find a LC and come racing? There are 3 more being built it Hawkes Bay at the mo, im sure you NEED one
