Hi all.
The Victoria Motor Cycle Club are having to come to the well again and fish for kind-hearted souls who might be interested in having a closer look at the road racing scene. We need some flag marshals. It's a great way to give yourself the satisfied glow that comes from helping people out, and you get to meet some fabulously windswept and interesting people. The next meeting is June 20th and 21st at Manfield in Fielding. It's a 2 day meeting and we are hoping to have some accomodation for saturday confirmed soon for those who will require it. We are also planning to have a bbq and some quite drinks on the saturday night. All volunteers receive at least $50 in petrol vouchers to help cover some of their costs. If you are interrested or have questions post them here or get hold of us at race@vicclub.co.nz
Thanks.

the fine one :)
You do realise it is Winter in Feilding eh?
Can't guarantee what day will be fine, but at least one will be windy for you....
Jokes aside,
Clive, I am trying to get a bunch of people keen to come out and support Team Air Force Racing. So the Flag Marshal idea might be a good way to see the racing close up.
I will get in touch if names come forward.

You are all bloody legends for thinking about this. It's impossible to express how grateful we are to those who do this work. It can be the start of a slippery slope though. Once the non-racers get close to the action and see that some of us out there are only muppets having a bloody good time, they all want to get on the track. Old GSXRs are perfect.

I'm not sure about this 'wind-swept' look. The last time I saw you, you looked like you'd been road swept.:--))
Do we get a badge or something which says 'OFFICIAL'? I like those. They make me feel POWERFUL!
And can I flag Sinful off the track just because of who he is?
Yeah. I might turn up. Just for the adventure. You'll have to bring Mrs Clivoris though. She's the main attraction.:--))
What's this about accomm?

:laugh:Roadswept is a fairly accurate description of my recent efforts, but now that I have a baseline I can work on improvements. I will get my 6 year old son to make you a custom badge. Do you prefer Iron Man or The Incredible Hulk? Definitely flag Sinful off, I have an awful feeling he will be making me look bad. And finally, I'm frightened about telling you that Mrs Clivorus will be home for the weekend, in case you decide to visit Porirua instead.

Awesomeness.

Red 1. Roger. Bloody long-haired layabout. Can I flag him off for just turning up?:--))

Give me a 15 pack or turborg and half a dozen mince and cheese pies...and I'll sit where ever I'm told for a whole day and wave flags...
Disclaimer: If for some reason I may run out of either said pies or said beer...I may be abusive and malicious till I get my way and/or more beer or pies.

Considering heading out Friday evening. But it will depend on the state of the Desert Road. I don't fancy that trip if it's all snow and ice.
But if the weather is halfway reasonable, I'll be there.
