Yup, you read right.
This is the 04 model, the last r6 we got in n.z with conventional front forks, although this model is still available in the 'States.
Its the 2nd generation of R6,doesnt have the mad top end of the 1st gen.or need to be revved like f@#k,like the 06 onwards.Dont get me wrong though , this thing is quicker than I am!
It'd be the perfect step up from youre 250....will putter around in traffic all day, but get her up to 8grand plus & she's gone.:woohoo:
What Ive enjoyed the most about this bike is that it is so easy to ride.
I stepped up from 48hp to 107 with this bike & Ive never looked back.
The handling is awesome & confidence inspiring with its very neutral steering, excellent brakes & a very usable spread of power right the way to its redline of 15500rpm
I have done 12000ks on her & she never missed a beat....regular oil & filter changes at 5000 intervals,New front brake shoes at 1000ks ago with new brake oil as well, new coolant & antifreeze recently.
Has a set of Pirelli Rosso's on, which have done just on 1000ks
Also comes with Ventura lightguards (one is cracked) & a ventura packrack with the "sportrack option"
I would say that its in very good order ,though it does have the odd scar....
They being stone chips on the lower fairing (I live 6k up a gravel road)
A couple of small gay scratches on the tank ( wasnt me!!)
A blemish on one of the headlight lens from not pulling the fuse at a trackday & having tape over the lens which melted it slightly:doh: ( no problem with warrant)
Grindage on the muffler from a wee off, with corresponding grindage on the frame slider ( that was me):Oops:
They muffler(standard) has also been derestricted slightly by removing the small anus type bit that stuck out the back...sounds way better, though it cannot at all be said to be loud, & I have had no trouble with it at warrant time
The bike will come with a new warrant...rego is on hold.
Only selling it because I want to go Protwin racing & this bike is just to good to wreck..
Yup, she has done about three race meetings,all in clubmans class plus 2 trackdays...
Will put more photos up this week detailing the knarly bits.
