  2. BuckBuckNo1 Goes Shopping

After Mr. and Mrs. BuckBuckNo1 retired, Mrs. BuckBuckNo1 insisted her husband accompany her on her weekly trips to K -Mart.
Unfortunately, Mr. BuckBuckNo1 was like most men - he found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out.
Equally unfortunately, Mrs. BuckBuckNo1 was like most women - she loved to browse. One day Mrs. BuckBuckNo1 received the following letter from her local K -Mart.

    Dear Mrs. BuckBuckNo1,

Over the past six months, your ...

  3. Group Ride Dynamics - Conflict Resolution

Last month I received some constructive feedback and advice from a moderator on this site, who does not live in the Wellington region. It addressed the ongoing need to maintain the Newbie Update Blogg.

How was I going to approach that challenge? This required some stimulus and in the last 24 hours several important things occurred. An underlying theme is conflict and resolution as it directly relates to group rides.

  5. A Date Which Will Live In Infamy

Do We Need An Early Cruisy Wednesday Night Ride?

    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...=57104&page=48 [post 715]

Yesterday, February 13, 2008 – a date which will live in infamy BuckBuckNo1 was suddenly and deliberately seen by certain members of the Kiwibiker community as disrupting a promulgated ride.

BuckBuckNo1 was at peace with that community, and at the solicitations of various members of the KB community, was still in conversation with other ...

  6. Uncle B's Seat At The DuckPond

    Wednesday 28 November 2007

    A famous person once said:

We cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow, this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our power to add or to detract.

The world will very little note nor long remember what we say here; but it can never forget what they did here.

We come here today to honour the memory of Bruce Hannaford.

  7. O Trinity

To all those that have contributed, thank you.

The sad loss of our Uncle B is approaching 12 months:

O Trinity of love and power
    Our brethren shield in danger's hour;
From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
    Protect them wheresoe'er they go;
Thus evermore shall rise to Thee,
Glad hymns of praise from land and sea.

Dedicated to the memory of our Mentor, Uncle B.

And to all riders of yesterday, today, ...

  8. Bike Cornering

Dedicated to the memory of our Uncle B.

Two good books I have come across:

    Proficient Motorcycling
Author David L. Hough [as in cough]
    ISBN 1-889540-53-6

A Twist Of The Wrist II
Author Keith Code and notes by Doug Chandler
    ISBN 0-9650450-2-1

Now and then an entry catches your eye, and this recent item from 2wheeldrifter is one of them:
