Boring stuff about your boring life.
Well I am still here. Though I originally joined Kiwibiker in 2004 (started riding in 2006) I went walk-about in early 2009. Since I returned to Kiwibiker in May 2009 there have been numerous events and activities I have participated in: (This blogg) Motorcycling and My Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder OCPD Perhaps some may understand why I deliberately spent the first 1000km riding in Stokes Valley in May/June 2006 before I ventured further afield. ...
At the Wednesday night rides over the recent years I too have witnessed changes in riding attitudes, and sadly very sadly perhaps a group mentality culture that can be pervasive and subtly intimidating - not intimidating by any particular individual/s but rather just the pure social dynamic. On another sad point, there have been quite a number of motorcylist fatalities, and indeed since the November ACC protest ride this has brought home the fact that serious injury and death are ...
A Genuine Dutch Auction – Kawasaki 250R I have no hesitation in stepping back from riding this winter 2010, and who knows spring may bring another surprise. In the meantime I'm very sincere in saying that the 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250R is an excellent bike and highly recommended as a daily commute bike and also a joy for that short ride over the hill to the Wairarapa for a coffee. Tuesday/Wednesday 6.30pm Dutch Auction Can be purchased at any week for price shown. ...

For those of you that know me, my riding history is short as I commenced riding as recently as May 2006. Shortly after starting to ride there was a monumental mind shift in my attitude when my mentor of six months was killed riding his motorcycle. Over the recent years The Wednesday Night Cruisie Ride has changed and so I pray that his legacy can in some way continue. At last night’s TCWNR (10 Feb 2010) there was a small gathering and generally all were experienced ...
The following link was sent to me very recently by a member of my intake, the 24th Collins - July 1968 to June1969: http://www.navy.gov.au/w/images/PIAMA29.pdf After my initial 12mth period I was selected to remain behind for officer pre-requisite studies. I wanted to be a navy pilot, well all teenagers did - didn't they...unfortunately my vision was not up to standard and this made me ineligible for Seaman Officer training as well, couldn't wear glasses on the bridge ...
Life is all about the cards you are dealt with: http://www.navy.gov.au/Looking_At_Leeuwin and shortly afterwards: http://www.myvietnam.com.au/voyages/ Pictures at the Gallery. I am sure there are some that can relate to the above links. Have a Merry Christmas and Rubber Side Down 2010.
Change in society over the centuries witnesses, more often than not discontent, particularly the internal bickering that does arise…… Where To From Here? For some there is abject acceptance of the recently increased ACC levy. And, for others, there is the projected annoyance at the levy, and projected annoyance may be the ongoing characteristic and action. For some others there is the reality that within the overall makeup of ACC, there ...
In my blogg I commented: ACC is but a thorn in the side of progress. Of itself, philosophically it is a nappy, in the real world it is a crutch. There are better ways of providing compensation, it is up to the people of the day, not yesterday, to create a system. How that is done is a task entrusted to many governments of the day over many years. Am I correct in saying GST was introduced after ACC? So since the introduction of GST governments ...
