Vegas sure is a fun town. Can be very cheap, can be very expensive... reminds me of a cartoon a friend had. Naked man walking past a sign pointing to 'Las Vegas' - little dark cloud over his head - sad expression on his face - declaring "I shall return!"
Don't be so hard on him. He has provided so much entertainment and illumination to the readers on subjects such as : -what not to buy - stuff that breaks down - when not to go ride a motorbike through the USA - height of Summer! you have to be some sort of masochist to do that. -what time of day to get out of bed and on the road - before the heat of the day fries brains, electrics, gearboxes etc. On top of this he entertains us with humourous anecdotes revealing his idiosyncratic views of life and reality. Taking his 2 wheeled camper van off-road had me smiling. Keep it coming Gremlin - Great read.
Your opinion of this place is very interesting to me. Sometimes we all forget to see what is right in front of our own eyes.

(And also for giving me a break from the usual shenanigans you get up to!) I'm working my way back through posts putting up the route with a link to Google Maps... the length would probably be a good idea too... Costs... didn't really track it for once, felt I shouldn't, and focus on enjoying the trip instead. As for giving you a break, unfortunate, but I'm back now

Not a bad write up matey! From a fellow who thought a decently worded post was two words transmorgifying into a bona fide adventure traveller writer! Well met! If I didn't know you any better, you sound wistful here! Amazing you didn't trip up any international flags for being a WMD ...
Good to see you re-acclimatising to traffic! At least you didn't get the bash this time for the tiki touring!

Sounds like the usual infatuation you have with gadgets and accessories! Good to see you are having an inkling of what the advantages of getting up early can have!
Y'know, one of these days your general cavalier attitude will bite you in the arse! Oh, wait. Those days have already come and gone for you! Where's the smiley, which is a bitch slap needed! Glad you had a reliable bike to cart you through the appropriately named "Death Valley"
Ahh the life and times of a hedonist, sorry to hear what a waste of time it was to hunt around for leather service - at least you got to move around a bit!
: Oh the laughing I have at your gormless lap dancing shenanigans! I think you had more fun with the two feather boa girls!
Fear and loathing in Las Vegas! Vive Vegas baby! Well you didn't do the expected thing, win and lose a fortune and get a quickie marriage. What sort of tourist are you?
Ahhh the ubiquitous lekky gremlin problems rears its head again! The only surprise really would be if all your gear worked as it was supposed to! But then you wouldn't be the gremlin I know and despise!

That's not very nice...
Oh how I guffawed at your awaking epiphany! That is proof of karma! :
So I take it the theme of this blog entry was Rainman ... you encountering rain and acting like the idiot savant you are (yes, unfortunately, you do have moments of genius, which serves to scare me even more). Great. A sociopathic biker with moments of genius. No wonder I shudder ...
