    Looking good!

I suggest an adventure bike. No fairings to remove, or so it seems... just lots of plastic to finally remove the fuel tank

Just make sure the LEDs stay on... wouldn't have thought tape would be so happy next to the heads?

Sure is a purdy zimmerframe and it's good to have you back on two wheels

So sorry to hear about that and very thankful you are OK. As we all know another off that day didn't end well. We have ridden a few K's together and if this can happen to you it can easily happen to me. Food for thought! Will be intersting to hear and review lessons learnt in due course. I look forward to doing some more K's with you when repairs are effected.

    Cheers DougieNZ

That's bad luck young fulla. I'm looking at the bike in your profile picture and it doesn't look too bad. Will it be fixed in time for you to lead the ride to Apiti on Sunday? Or do you need to borrow the GS?

Was a real bugger as I returned home from Taupo on Saturday evening.

Shame about poor black, she had such potential, but the important thing is that you're relatively OK. Bikes can be replaced, but yes, a slightly shorter life than expected? From the sounds of things, it sounds like she's taken quite the knock, but insurance will have to figure out.

Contact the buyer of red and say you want her back

There was some debate between us about a road going through (over) a river. KoroJ said he doubted it, the map said it existed. I live for such uncertainty. The certainty in all that was that I would be doing the road to find out!

Haven't used Garmin maps since October 2008... NZ Open GPS maps all the way thanks, coz I can correct all the wrong things I find. Got a pile of additions and updates to do from this weekend...

We left Wanganui at 7am & got in as soon as the gates opened parking in the front line by the heavyweights. Didna see ya as after a wander thru the Macchi hanger the Hunter arrived pinning me to the flightline till the shows end (that piece of tubing coming in handy).

And a great lunch at The Bach in Island Bay who held tables for us even though they were really busy and hadn't picked up my text confirming our numbers and ETA.

27 bikes and around 35 people - a sign I think that Welly Ulysses is in pretty good heart.

Yes, well we all know that the only way to get you up for a ride at 5 in the morning is to start the ride at 3....the afternoon before!!

We'll catch up on Friday then. Still, you're out and about and riding, so that's what's important

Oh... and some of us started the 2012 riding year in early January
