Perhaps it should be "yoohs" to fit with "poohs"? Glad you had a nice day. Thanks for the compassionate encouragement.

So jealous about the Gentle Annie, but you'll be making the C1KC ride go over it, which I should be attending, but I'll confirm later, once everything falls into place.

650km does not a GC make Still, you can't just run out and do 1600km, and being ride fit is certainly something that is required (I reckon we all get a bit fat and lazy during winter).

Bit worrying about the 660 switching off tho... I've had it, but since it's out of warranty, I've narrowed it down to either a lack of space (try turning it back on, then clearing the trip log if it shuts off again?) or sometimes the route is very complex.

So... about the space for a 2nd ST?

Yes well i left Taupo early because of the weather forecasts leaving a beautiful sunny (but cool) morning and headed to the rain at Turangi which turned into a downpour at Waiouru where I stopped for breakfast. Leaving there at about 930am I rode through a steady snowstorm through to Taihape with the dashboard display flashing 1.5 degrees C and little ice crystals. Stayed pretty cool through to Bulls where I stopped for a pee and to make sure the wedding tackle was still attached and then on down to Welly in fine but cold weather. Arrived home at 1.30pm well before the snow began. Glad I left Taupo early in the morning cos the white stuff fair fell out of the sky in Karori.

So - the SH2 Clayton's Ride can get put back on the calendar for another day?

John, and Andrew, well done and congratulations for bringing forth the very basic and fundamental things of why we ride bikes. There is never a day that goes by that we cannot learn something, no matter how old we are.

May your initiative John continue, and may you solicit (in the nicest possible way) the co-operative endeavours of Andrew Templeton - from Road Safe, and the Lower Hutt City Council.

I look forward to your continued good work in the promotion of these types of events, inclusive or exclusive of the motorcycle riding club you are attached to.

I would like to think that Ulysses New Zealand and BRONZ together can take a forefront and effective lead in the promotion of motorcycle skills awareness and development through the 2011/2012 summer and daylight saving period.

Have seen the videos on Youtube and this is something I would really like to have a go at. So next time you are thinking of setting up another practice run, post it up, would love to come help set-up and have a have a go myself.

Interesting stuff and certainly worth doing... I would have a go if I was in Wellington.

I can tell you that indeed, the BMW is well balanced, and also has an excellent turning circle, well, the GS at least does.
