  1. Ambo & Coin Toss Rides

We had two rides this week, which was a bit fortuitous because when I went to fill this morning. Sheesh, lucky the gas hadn't gone off in the tank after such a long break between rides!!

Anyway, ANZAC day was the annual Free Ambulance Charity Ride...which isn't really a ride because it didn't require a fill of the tank, but I did get the bike out, got it wet and we ...

  3. Nostalgia Trips – Scanning One's Life (Pt2 1973)

In 1973 I left home and joined the Air Force as an Aircraft Electrician, moving to Blenheim for the year. Having had an interest in taking pix, I joined the photographic club and acquired my first SLR, which was an old dunger (even then) but took some great photos...and taught me how to take photos because it didn't have all the trimmings and automatic features of todays cameras...although I continue to function on the basis that if I take enough photos, I'm bound to get one or two good ones! ...

  4. Nostalgia Trips – Scanning One's Life (Pt1 1972)

About ten years ago the business bought a scanner. It was bloody marvelous to be able to scan documents for filing and emailing....and of course I bought a CanoScan 8000F that just happened to be able to scan slides and negatives as well. At that time I embarked on a project to digitise the hundreds, or more like thousands of photos I had taken myself as well as those inherited from my parents and grandparents.

I made a good start capturing many old family prints and made a huge dent ...

  5. Things I've learned, learning to ride

This post is dedicated to my lovely friends, the gorgeous Lina and her marvellous Johnny. Lina’s in the process of learning to ride a motorbike, and I thought it would be good to write some down of my experiences thus far as an encouragement to stick with it.

Hopefully, it’ll be useful to others too!

Also: boo sucks to boys having all the fun! We need ...

  7. MotoTT Taupo Trackday - Saturday 13th April 2013 - Newbie Trackday Footage on GN250

I went to Taupo on the weekend just been for a track day here is sessions 1. Unfortunately the blog won't let me embed any more video's so here are the rest: http://www.youtube.com/user/xbiggestbossx?feature=watch . It's just a bit of fun really and I'm not particularly good at following lines, downshifting (when going that fast!), and generally just riding a motorbike in general lol. I fitted the Go Pro to the side reflector on my bike which seemed to be a really good location. It picked up the ...
  8. AMCC Round 5 @ Hampton Downs

What a great way to end an excellent summer full of riding.

Thursday evening was the last of the Honda Twilight Ride Days. It's only 3 sessions but it's also really cheap.

Early on Thursday it was looking extremely dodgy with steady rain until about 10:00am, with light rain until about 1:00pm and then the sky cleared. By 4:30pm the roads were bone dry and perfectly clean. It was warming up so the track was ...
