hello been awhile no am still working on the bike its up to wof/ standred

The body fairings look horrible as ever but determinded i get replacment parts once i get the money

And b find somone that can make them . i got guy in germany but that like grand for everthing.

Okay am not perosn that likes things when know there not the best so after noticed ever since been ridding

the bike the clutch didnt seem 100% , it changes gears fine smoth just didnt seem to hook up like it did

So anyways i rode it on open road when hit 8 thousand rpm notiched on full trottle clutch whould slip.

SO needed new chain i thought about and yeah i chould leave it but nah i know it save me money

And cant really afford it but no so i ordered set ebc heavy duty clutch plates , and spings, i read where new

Steel clutch bands be good too ,but i left that , well ordered gasket for clutch cover also.

Taken cover of tonight and found plates where worn down, mind you from new there only like 4 mm of

thinkness , bike done 47,000 miles so guess thats not to bad ,the spings where bit heated and seem be

alot less tension than replacments , so seems was good move whet i spent so far.

I found good video on ebay for vfr 750 so after watching that was happy to give it a go

I but the new plates in tommrow got them soaking in some new oil overnight

I also had 2 replace the seals in the master cylinder of the clutch , well guy manawatu motorcyels did that

for me thanks dude.

bleeding the clutch was trail and error seems air can get traped in the banjo bolt where bolts to the

resvior so case undo it slighty and letting air out . then going back , pumping lever then letitng of the

10mm bolt down on the slave cylinder , i brought just piece plastic tube from mitre 10 only like 60 cents

Better than 10 bucks for bleed kit and just use glass jam jar and punch hole in the lid feed the plastic tube

through , am bit stuck with the chain i brought did x ring chain but got either to buy chain riverter

tool or get some understaning bike shop to do for me . i rather do myself but dont think cost of buying on

is worth it as am only going use it once. in mean time i hold of as i should get new sprockets

I was like no am not going listen to people saying buy new sprokets but yeah i will .

Got to say i love this bike after thinking i might not get one with it

Befire it sat in garage between early jan (thanks guys in auckland for helping)

And late march m i had naging feeling i made huge mistake . i spent over grand

Just on parts Not as many hours as expected at moment plan has gone to well. plan , apart from still no wof which is frustrating to say the least.

I even got it sliping on the rear so must be getting more used to it . actually first time done that on bike , i mean more sliter feel for few secs hehe

next on list is headlight and getting brake cylinder in the calibers cleaned up and
Un sezied not happy with how they look dont look like service in years alot grim
I surpose out sight out mind sort deal , must admit never cleaned them on my own bikes either though did bleed the fulid reg

Down side the cracked right fairing i fastened well but air got behind and lost
it damm thats major setback as need to have idicators on that backwards step

Should left it of but looked yuk.

Must say riding a bike at 48 is alot better than when was young think really appricated it more

The gearbox is fantastic best i used the bike is heavy but sure doesint feel it
its no 250 but alot better than the cb 750 i had and tires are great

They seem heat up fast too first time ridden on radials great feel even at road limit in the corners .

I need finish the brake master cylinder rebuild but need buy some circlip pliers
damm 35. bucks ouch as 2 i have are too wide tips to work

I getting great at braking with the rear and gearbox but not very safe if get emergency stop , and cant relax like that am always watching like hawk.
had dude 4 wheel drive try move on me 2 days ago damm was just slowing for 70kph just well did it eraly i was like wtf .. gave angry fist wave.

is it me or car drivers getting worse , had lady stop in middle road put on left then right indicators, then waved me on , trouble was it be into oncoming traffic. yeah nice one , i politley waved back, yes i know thank you... but no thanks

I brought a iphone 4s and few minutes later gave to the wife well was either that hide it from her. i expect she does deserve it as spent most my time and money on the vfr . i got to say bikes are my life again apart from know , i share it with my son and wife. i think have more balnce in my life ,
From when was in my 20,s back then was bikes bikes , and nah dont need g/f
Really was to much wozz baby to scared should had nads to have g/f too lol
Oh well got there in the end i guess

Everone have great weekend drive ride safe remember put you clocks back

Cheers

Hi and welcome to this quick update

Bike still isint up to warrent fitness standred need headlight and the front brakes

working , brakes i am sorting turns out after fitted new spacer (i lost org)

That right disc rotor was very warped so got offer of brand new one (factory part)

For 270.00 . the one i brought second hand (left) is great , as turns out think

The master cylinder was blown so ordered a plunger kit and have to work out

When pay for how to take it aprart apprently its circlip you take out.

I want get brakes working great but turns out much more than getting new brake lines , am going get new braided lines ordered next money permiting

So been riding the bike to and from work i clocked up over 200 miles so far

It starts and runs great warms up much quicker than expected only time run to middle of guage was on saddle road running in second gear behind a slow car two up

I do see what say about rear cylinder heating up you lower regins i think only thing that i notice i change with the bike and that be nice in winter.
