Good luck. We tried last weekend from the Katikati side and only got about 1.5km before we can across this rather large series of bogs, 50 -60 m with no way around with what seemed like a bottomless abiss. Over the boots and still going down. As we were going to ride there and back we decided to go back before going further as not much fun in spending too much energy tryng to drag bikes through this type of mud. We were on trail bikes too so i would not recommend a 640 or similar. We meet two mountain bikers who biked over from TeAroha side and they said ther were plenty more bogs like the one we described. Anyways have fun, the washing machine will get a good workout.
