This trader must be pretty hard to outdo as far as optimism goes. Bike has been on the market for a year now, wonder when the penny will drop he''s dreaming at that price. You'd have thought after a year he might have got round to the little bit of tlc required to get running. ...

  • Fat Bikers Motorcycle Club - 'Smurfs Up' Blue September Fundraiser

    'Smurfs Up' Blue September Fundraiser

    ....and why not....

As part of the Blue September prostate cancer appeal, the Fat Bikers Motorcycle Club invite you all to join them for a jolly nice day out on the wild west coast.

Yes indeed my lovelies, a relaxed pootle to Raglan followed by a feed at the Raglan Hotel rounding off with the 'Blue Bits' fundraising auction.

Auckland riders will depart from BP Papakura and then stop off to collect other riders along the way.

    So, the deal is:

    When: Sunday 18th September 2011

Time: Auckland riders meet at BP Papakura (Autobahn for you fancy european people) at 9.30am for a 10.00am start. Ride straight down the good old SH1 where we will stop off at the BP Ngaruawahia to collect anyone else before we head through to Raglan. ETA at Ngaruawahia is 11.00am.

Food: Arrive at approx 12 noon at the Raglan Hotel for a feed and a chin wag

Then: Bring something blue for the 'Blue Bits' Auction, all proceeds raised to go to the Blue September Prostate cabcer Appeal.

There will also be official Blue September Appeal wristbands for sale as well as free blue facepaint, just incase anyone feels like giving it the big Braveheart look.

This ride has been recognised by the Blue September Appeal as an official fundraising event so come along and enjoy the ride. Check out the events section here:

The idea is also for every rider to wear something blue as well, just to round it of nicely.

Right O, thats the idea, hope you can make it

I might be able to add a few riders to your list Max.
If it all goes to plan we will meet you in NGA at 11am.

Hopefully wearing blue and with a few things to contribute to the auction.

Of course the real reason will be for a decent feed in Raggers!!

Owing to other commitments in the City of the Great Auck this afternoon, I was unable to get to Raglan at the required time...

HOWSUMEVER, I did venture over the hill earlier in the day - in the pissisting rain I might add - just on the offchance that some other dweeble like myself had gone early. Not to be, sadly - although there was one other bike on the street. Obviously I am not alone in my insanity.

Had coffee, went home. Tough luck about the event but them's the breaks.

Hope it was a roaring success FM and that many pies were consumed. Ride safe all.

Well, it was a great event. Thanks to all you kind souls who turned out today. The weather was not the best on the way down but Raglan itself turned on the sun for us.

Great effort on the auction as well, all up a briliant day out raising money for a good cause.

The Blue September people even made a little video of us as well, check it out here:

Well done you lot, heres me had to sit at home looking at an otherwise mobile coal burner, waiting on a bit of bloody plastic to cover up the rear end of the tank. Still, do it once do it right I say.
Glad it went off despite the weather and good to see so many out there. Who was that Mad Blue haired(long haired at that) woman???
Did I forget to mention sexy as, svelte and luscious woman???
      Go team.
