This trader must be pretty hard to outdo as far as optimism goes. Bike has been on the market for a year now, wonder when the penny will drop he''s dreaming at that price. You'd have thought after a year he might have got round to the little bit of tlc required to get running. ...

Rules are easy...and borrowed from Waikato! #1 - Find the tag and reproduce the photo (as best as possible). The first person to post a found tag gets to place the next tag. RC30 What does this mean?

I've been stripping a RC30 today to recommission as a post classic race bike. It has these markings on the head. It's probably an engine builders mark. Does anybody know the origins or significance? Thanks.

    Brakes Locking Up

    Thread Starter: rastuscat

Apparently brakes lock up on their own. Or at least according to the person who wrote this complaint to the local council. "There is a very dangerous amount of gravel build up on a few of the intersections on this road, I've nearly come off my motorcycle due to the brakes locking up on it. It's...

Checking out the trademe listings, as you do, and there seems to a lot of old bikes from the 70's mostly that people are trying to and in some cases selling for pretty ridiculous prices. Bikes like GT Suzuki's, CB Honda's and a plethora of other plain old crap. Those bikes were not very good in...

    Dyneema jeans from Blackwood Safety

    Thread Starter: GazzaH

Spotted this jeans ad in the Blackwoods Safety flier. "Dyneema" is marketed as "the world's strongest fibre", an ultra long polythene molecule for the chemists among us. It has several advantages over Kevlar (aramid). I doubt even Dyneema jeans are as road-rash-resistant as decent leathers...

Hi everyone. I've decided to take up riding at 36. I have been intrigued by motorcycles since I was a teenager but never got around to owning one for whatever reasons. I've had one lesson so far with an instructor and will be completing my learners license some time in the next few weeks. My...

Cancer Baton Ride Postponed 24 hours

*Ride now postponed till Sunday 4th*

The warnings are out and the risks are high...Wind Gusts/Rain/Debris
It is unwise and dangerous to ride in such conditions.
I have pm'd all Regional Leaders and they are in agreement.

The weather system will be gone by the time our feet hit the floor on Sunday and I believe that is the better/safer day to do this ride.

All times and stops remain in place...see ya there.

''MetService meteorologist Daniel Corbett said a deep and vigorous low would pass over the North Island.

"This is a serious situation and poses a weather hazard for many North Island places. Gales are expected over all of the North Island. These may be severe and damaging in some areas, particularly on Saturday morning."

Corbett said the forecasters still had to see the whites of the storm's eyes, but the wind could reach 120kmh and sea swells 6-8 metres.

The gale-force northerly winds would be followed by a rough south-westerly.

Corbett said it would also be cold, with temperatures generally lower than normal.

"This is a recipe for cold driving rain," Corbett said. "Those who are out and about on Saturday are likely to describe the conditions with words like 'miserable' or 'atrocious'."
