Does anyone find the Pakuranga Highway - Ti Rakau intersection extremely slippery? I was in the rain yesterday, behind a car at the traffic lights turning right on the Pakuranga Hwy. When it turned green I followed the car and my back wheel just started spinning and I almost ended up across the...

    Auckland Congestion Charges

    Thread Starter: rastuscat

Go on, do something. Submissions are being sought on congestion charges in Auckland City. Motorcycle use decreases congestion. Easy. So go on there and make your views known. Submissions that don't have obscene language or personal attacks carry more weight, so try to be civil.

Made in China for a global market, KTMís new 750 will plug a midrange hole. I wonder if these will come to NZ ? If the pricing were keen it'd sell OK I think. https://www.cycleworld.com/story/bikes/ktm-750-range-to-debut-soon/

Could somebody help me identify this part on a crank case cover?

    Thread Starter: Assano

Bought a cheap Lifan / Jialing / NzMoto 50cc cruiser style scooter. It is built in the style of the Honda SS50 but much crappier and plastic-er. First ride out a small cover on the left crank case on top of the case came off and although I went back out and walked my 2 km route I couldn't...

  • Bucket Bonanza - Including the Bucket GP

The Auckland bucket crew are organising a weekend of racing and the New Zealand Bucket GP at Tokoroa Kart track. This will be held on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 of April. This will include full weekends racing for support classes (for club licence holders) as well as the F4 Grand Prix, F5 Grand Prix and the Bucket Sidecar Grand Prix.

The GP is a national title so to compete in this race you need the full national licence.
For those without the full licence (or who require Day licencesí) we will be running a non GP class so there will be just as much racing!
In the program we will call the non GP class FT for Formula Tokoroa.

    Saturday

    9.30am Entry and sign on
    11am Riders briefing

Practice sessions by grade. F4, F5, FT and sidecars, not necessarily in that order. These will be used to make sure all the transponders are working and possibly to set grids.

Fun races in all the classes, last race for the day will be the sidecar GP or GP length race if we don't get enough entries.

    Sunday

Practice, possibly qualifying then F5, FT, F4 races in that order

    F5 GP 30 laps
    FT 30 or 40 laps
    F4 40 laps

    Shake hands, go home.

    Entry fees

    $40 for the weekend
$20 transponder hire if you don't have your own
$20 day licence if you need one for the non GP classes.

Camping will be available at the track on Friday and Saturday nights (no extra charge). No pre entry necessary, if you wish to only attend one day this is fine, contact one of our committee members, details on amcc.org.nz/buckets
