    Optimistic sellers

This trader must be pretty hard to outdo as far as optimism goes. Bike has been on the market for a year now, wonder when the penny will drop he''s dreaming at that price. You'd have thought after a year he might have got round to the little bit of tlc required to get running. ...

Wellington it is a glorious day to get out there

    Thread Starter: F5 Dave

Sorry in advance to those experiencing inclimactic weather. But Dogam! It is the perfect day to paint or trim trees or wash the car. Don't do any of those things. Don't even call a friend. Just get out there and ride while you can. You don't work all week to mow the lawn. I'm not...

    Has anyone seen my marbles?

    Thread Starter: rastuscat

Seems I've lost them. I'm looking at swapping my GSA for an S1000XR. When has a plug under the seat for a "race logger", whatever the hell that is. Apparently it goes fast. The motor is a detuned version of the S1000RR. Happy it has cruise control, might save me an embaressing roadside...

    Michelin Road 6

    Thread Starter: SaferRides

I fitted a set of these to the R1 last April. They've now covered 11,000 km during all 4 seasons and now is probably a good time to post a few comments. Like me, you may have assumed the Road 6 is simply an evolution of the 5, as they look similar. But they feel very different on the R1. The...

    GSXR750 lower fork tubes

    Thread Starter: Premature Accelerato

I need to get some new lower fork inners for my 2007 GSXR as the current ones now have too many rust spots turning up and consequently leaking fork seals. In the past I was able to grind out the spots and fill with JB Weld and that worked well but there now just too many small spots. Looking on...

  • North Island 1,600 -- 11 & 12 October 2014

    North Island 1,600 - 11 & 12 October 2014

Are you a rider who enjoys riding long distances? Do you love riding through the night? Would you like to see some of the North Island's more obscure sealed by-ways? Enjoy the company of others afflicted by the same disease?

The you should open your calendars and mark 11 & 12 October 2014.

The North Island 1,600 is on its way!

It's not a race. It's an endurance ride, intended to capture the spirit of previous similar North Island events. Yet it's also all new, and will have it's own personality and way of getting things done.

There's more information about this event on the website www.distanceriders.org.nz

Sign up for the newsletter on the website so you get regular updates.

We'll need a capable non-riding team for this event to make sure everything runs smoothly, so volunteers for those roles will be highly valued.

There's a lot of work going on getting this organised.

7:00pm on Friday 10 October will reveal all. Remember that the North Island 1,600 isn't a Grand Challenge. It will develop its own "traditions".
