Sixteen point something years ago she says 'hey guess what....daddy!' and my 1100 became an stationwagon
So this year, with 40 looming I started browsing Trademe, looking for that elusive bargain.
Next thing you know I was whizzing off down SH3 on a GSX 600F thinking 'boy, I should have got that 1100'.....
Four months later and oh how the bug has bitten.
The 600 was traded on a classic GSXR1100L, ('90 model with the upside down forks slingshot model) and as if that wasn't enough....Stuart at TSS Red Baron kept dropping the tag on this cute little Ducati 750ss until I could no longer say NO!
Yes, its in my garage keeping Suzy company...sigh. Oh the choices!
Yesterday, we took the baffles out of the Duke to let her breath, wow is she a sexy sounding beast now, and the last two days of perfect weather have been used to the full.
Its great to be back into it, and even better the wife wont let me get rid of the 1100, she prefers it for pillion riding, so I guess I just have to keep em both (damn!)
My sons 16 this year...might have to look around for a 250 project bike, like my dad did with me at his age.......
