Tomorrow I am 40.
Its a milestone alright, but even more so that I get to represent thousands of the finest people on the face of the globe
Despite the shit we toss at each other on this and other websites the biker community I have come to know here in Wellington and somewhat further afar is genuinely a great bunch of people
Such a great bunch its worth spending the day helping people park, find resources and utilities, access for disabled or older riders, sound system.....list never ends (and I am still e-mailing now as I write this too) on the big day
I really wanted to ride in the convoy, but shit, so much at ground zero to be done
Tomorrow, when your all there, do me one small favour, one tiny courtesy to acknowledge the work the team here in Wellington, and the BRONZ teams, and especially the regional BIKEOI teams have made possible
Please, respect the marshals on the day
They've all like me, abandoned the actual ride, their spot on a historic group ride, to assist you tomorrow
Please remember that when they ask you to move or park where indicated
That's all I ask of you for all the work and sacrifice the marshals put in.....
Cheers and tomorrow, we will make ACC back the hell down, and National are gonna quake in their boots at the sound of Rolling Thunder in the Capital
