I'm looking at riding from Tauranga to Levin. Now I know that these sites travel times are generally on the longer side but Google Maps is telling me that 420 km's will take 5 hours and 40 minutes to travel where as AA reckons 452 km's is 6 hours and 25 minutes.

Does anyone know this route, or have any feedback on how far off the mark these are?

    Down state hwy one around the 4 hour mark.

    Yep, that's about right. About 1.5hrs to Turangi and then another 2.5hrs to Levin

    HA HA from Tauranga to Levin at what speed ? you would need to re think Tauranga to Turangi also, for to get there in 1.5 you would seriously risk having a licence if caught..

    About 4 hours was the time, plus a couple of fuel / food stops.
