Hey, I'm thinking of doing a tour round coromandel... does anyone know good places to stay.... or wana join me & my hubby, probably around end of march for a thurs nite thru till sun nite leaving from auckland.

    Coromandel Town has some wonderful accomodation from cabins on a camping ground just north of the town centre through to Anchor Lodge just south of the centre. There are also some lovely private cabins just north of the centre (Celadon). Have a look at this for starters: http://www.coromandeltown.co.nz/ but if you want more info on what to see and do round the Peninsula, just PM me. Nothing like local knowledge!

    We recently stayed here

    Was a great place to stay and very quiet and secure. We used it as a base to explore the peninsula on our adv bikes. Very reasonable rates and the hosts gave us free snapper to cook up at night and some smoked fish.
