Ducati vs Hyosung

Rate this Entry
Hi I am new to all this as I'm still on my restricted. lol 45 and trying something new : ). Anyhow besides the obvious price difference and rider preferences what else should I look for when upgrading. I like the look of the Ducati Monster 696 but dealer wasn't that helpful when I asked if it could be lowered. The Hyosung looks good naked but handle bars would need changing etc, my local the dealer very helpful . I also like the Susuki 650s and once again dealer helpful and assures me it can be lowered. What else do I need to consider- have looked at weight of bikes as am a small lady who has had some dropping issues, : ) lol. Obviously there's comfort but what about reliability? Can any one enlighten me on reliability of any of these model. Also like the look of the Triumph Street triple but so high of ground couldn't even sit on it : (

If you want reliability, Japanese bikes are generally easier to live with than other bikes (Korean, European).
And if you can't sit on it, don't force it.

The Suzuki 650 gets very good write-ups both by owners and in reviews. Know one lady with a Hyosung 650 and very happy with it. Sit on both & see if you can test ride them. Then go with your own feelings. You won't make a mistake. Have fun looking. Cheers :-)

Have you thought about the new Triumph Bonneville that has smaller wheels and a lowered seat?
Or, Suzuki Gladius, if you prefer sporty? - not sure of the height on those things though, but seem popular with the ladies.
