Have been working on the carb, a brand new Keihin 26mm, to make it appear rather more 'retro steampunk'
First I added a brass bellmouth made from a cut down brass vase & secured it with some holed brass strap made into a sort of hoseclamp
Then I took an old brass fuel cap & drilled/tapped it to take a modded airline fitting then glued it to the original carb top
Its OD was a little big so then I made a copper flared flange & riveted it on
Lastly I replaced the idle screw with an old brass knob
The throttle cable will be stripped of its black plastic covering to reveal the spiral wound inner
I gotta say Im having a lot of fun with this project !!
