New bike

I bought a bike on yahoo auctions last week. This is the first time I have bought without seeing and test-riding first, so I hope it's a good deal. It should be alright though because valuation of vehicles is much fussier here than it is in NZ. Even small blemishes are often considered big issues, and the idea that some part of the vehicle would be missing or not working is a foreign concept. eg. in NZ if you are advertising a bike and the rev counter is not working it's possible you might not even mention it in your ad, and when someone comes to take a look at it and finds out, it's no big deal. But here any little thing would be pointed out as if it was a huge problem.
Anyway about the bike, it's a 1987 VFR400R (NC24) due to arrive here any day now. I heard that these are a bit small if you are tall, so I may end up selling it on after I get back to NZ next year, let me know if anyone is interested! Km's are at 19,100 and I will try to keep them down... but that depends on how much fun it is to ride doesn't it?
I don't really need another bike and I'm not a big fan of the single-sided swingarm, but it seems in such good condition and I love the colors, and needed to scratch my 'new bike itch' since it's been over a year since I last bought one. Also saw a few vids on youtube where the engine's 'v' sound is pretty good, swaying the decision.
Hmm... can't say much more about it until I actually get it...
