Finally we had a good day.
I won't make this one a novel like usual cos I'm still wiped out and sore from yesterday (the party I went to when I got home from the track probably had something to do with that), but here's some stuff.
She's really sensitive to gearing. At the moment she's half a gear too high in turns 2 and 5 (although turn 5 is probably more me still trying to figure out how the hell to get around it) and she's up against the rev limiter right beside the pit entrance on the start straight. So dropping 1 or maybe 2 teeth at the back should sort things out.
One thing this bike would really benefit from is a close ratio gearbox. The bottom 2 gears are useless as they're too low and the gap between the remaining gears is huge.
Once she gets going this bike is quick, but slow corners are a real problem with the widely spaced gears.
The first bike I pass in the vid is Quasi on his nice new 2010 R1 that he really doesn't want to break. You can see the difference in power dammit
I didn't have a generator for my tyre warmers so the 1st few laps are slow. (EDIT that's why I hold 5th down the straight instead of going to 6th cos I didn't want to hit turn 1 fast with cold tyres)
(EDIT2 later laps were significantly faster but I'd run out of space on the camera so in this vid it sounds like I've got lots of revs in hand on the straight)
Left to right: Somebody on a GSXR600, me and Quasi on the R1
