Riding Task Master - Around the Coro at Midnight Madness!

Well at 3.30am I got into bed after a lovely ride.
This sort of thing is par for the course for me, but it was with TOTO and Gremlin that I happened to do it with last night/morning!
TOTO texts me all excited about whether we were going to ride tonight. Since I knew Gremlin needed more training for his mad combo of a GC and TT soon, I figured this was just synchronicity at work.
So around 7.45pm TOTO rocks up from working his shift at 'Treads. Gremlin was a bit tied up with the usual IT support probs and didn't arrive till well after 8pm. TOTO and I chowed down on sunny side up eggs on toast to await his arrival.
Anywhere off we blatted through to Kaiaua with TOTO in the lead (he is rusty and needs the practice!) light rain and drizzle. The lads were well togged up - I as usual, in my trusty red camo pajamas!
Breaking through to Miranda, we met two popo doing their rounds and we were civilly behaving!Through to Kopu, Gremlin takes point into Thames. Was a bit hairy at one point where I had to smack TOTO at the Caltex when we pulled up.
And we were only just talking about life-saver headchecks the other night too!
Anyway Gremlin and TOTO leave the direction we were going to ride the Coro to me! Foolish lads! I just blithely tossed my keys up and the direction the key pointed in was the way to go! Muwhahah!
So Clockwise we rode! The biking gods were well pleased with me, and the rain lifted. The moon broke through the clouds and bathed the surrounding lands in it's lunar glow.
Coromandel came and went, the Whitianga twisties and into Tairua. The few cagers on the loop thought we were barking mad, I could sense their thoughts!
Anyhow, my preddy, Cindi was very happy and we danced a merry tune through the lovely twisties. 'Cept for a corner where my back wheel hit a cats eye due to an errant line and I was feeling my 'nads curl up! No need to panic! Just turn head ... turn head ... keep looking ... turn head! And all was good and well!
So back to Thames to fill up again and back home via Miranda and the back blocks of the hunuas! Bloody lovelies. I took the lead here and we all pottered off to Denny's for a feed and a debrief. I think the boys need to seriously up their milage. I shall be there to spur them on to higher milages and greater rubber usage. Petrol needs to be used conspicuously to ensure ride tour pace is worked up to highest efficiency!
Poor TOTO was just about done in. We mocked Gremlin for his emptied Scottoiler (and I have reminded him of this many a time already!).
Just another typical gijoe1313 ride.
Oh yes, 13 days of ownership for Cindi (my preddy) ... 3300km done!
And I got a call from Chris from Botany about some lovely fruit and bling for her! The bastards!
