Hey guys, thought I might start a blog documenting my experiences I have with biking i guess. Im not usually good at writing long, thought out pages but I will give it my best.

So bit about myself, am 18(19 in march) and a fulltime student at AUT akoranga studying Sport and Recreation. I am very much into my surfing and outdoor activities (hiking, mountainbiking, camping, rockclimbing, white water kayaking). So this means i like to travel and see parts of New zealand i have never been to or really enjoyed first time around. With this in mind, am hoping to do alot of touring and hopefully just get to see some amazing things that will follow me the rest of my life(Im one of those people that has to have pictures to enjoy afterwards)

So this all starting when a friend of mine decided that he was going to sell his car and convert to biking. We got chatting and he was showing me the types of bikes he was interested in. It was less than a week later that I now own my very own blue 2008 kawasaki ninja. I have to say I am nervous about riding a bike in general, the risks/accidents. But I would rather enjoy myself and run the risk, than drive my car everyday for the next few years.

Really keen to get out and meet people that are well seasoned in bikes and know alot about maintanance and what to look out for. I always get nervous if i hear a little noise or something "shit somethings broken!!!!!"

Anyway I plan to use this space as a place where I can reflect on rides i've done and post pictures

Mint Bike...not my first choice but then again I'm a honda fan so nothing but a honda or maybe a triumph will make me swoon.

Hope to get a ride with ya in auckland once I move up. I've only just got my L plates in late November so still quite new on the roads. Don't let that stop you from exploring though. Getting lost on a bike is much more fun then a car. i"ve done just over 5k in the last three months and I'm still urging for more.

    Cya round!
