The second course

Okay so time for the next post in my blog.

Okay, so it's 12:30 am on tuesday morning, I have to be at work in just over 8 hours and I'm jazzing.

I spent a fair bit of time on Sunday talking to the wife of a friend who has actually been through the procedure almost a year ago. It was very informative and she had some great advice. She openly admits she does not regret going through the procedure and has suggested I read some blogs from those who have been through it. I plan to read through some from those who have had good and bad experiences.

But then I have to say the only reason I don't think I would go through with it would be if I was not able to get the required support from work. Yes there is a chance I will not make it off the table. Yes there is a chance I will not have a huge loss in weight or spend a lot of time with complications from the procedure. But on the flip side there's a better than even chance that I will have a huge increase in my quality of life.

okay, so those of you who read this, what do you think?

Do it! Turn all your thoughts to positive and just do it. Lose a bit of weight if you can before hand, though I am sure the docotrs will also be telling you that.

I know a young girl (22) who has been obese all her life, she was a fatso in the playground at school, and the cheerful laughing teenager, who simply got bigger and bigger each year. Her health was deteriorating, and she quite simply was miserable and sick of being so big. She paid for gastric bypass surgery, with the help of a loan from her parents. I had not seen her since the surgery (though I knew she had had it) when I went to an engagement party. We parked the car and I saw who I thought was her sister walking in ahead of us. My eyes about popped out when I saw it was her. What a life changing thing!

Do it! It will be as sucessful as you chose it to be, if you over eat afterwards you will not lose the weight, but if you follow the rules you will be shadow of your former self in no time, you will be able to get fit and boy will you ever feel good. Best of luck with it!
