Family Court

After my ex unilaterally changed the care arrangements of my children (effectively substantially reducing my time with them) I had to wait 14 months to get a date at the North Shore Family court. Then 30 minutes before court starts she effectively relents on her position agreeing to restore the prior arrangement, so that when we actually enter court all we can say is the matter is now settled.
We had attended numerous mediation sessions. In one of them attended by a Judge she even admitted what she was doing was wrong but refused to restore the prior arrangement. Her lawyer used many delaying tactics. I had tried numerous times to negotiate alternative arrangements with her.
The person I am currently seeing has recently applied to the same court, and was given a hearing date in just 30 days. She hasn't had anything drastic happen like having the children removed from her care like I did, hasn't been given a date under urgency or anything like that.
WTF.
I have a very low opinion of our justice system. The family court failed to act in the best interest of my children by taking so long to hear the case, and I can't help but feel this is somewhat because I was the father.
