New forks found... brakes should clean up okay.

Buckets and Bits have some forks for a pop-up there. Sounds a better plan than trying to regrind and rechrome the stanchions in these ones.
Pulled the brakes apart and good news - there's heaps of meat on the pads so they should be good. All the bolts came undone nicely - which never happens on my RF and with a bit of work I managed to get all the rust and crap out of one of the calipers, so with a bit of work I reckon they'll be looking good.
I figure I'll go for the sandpaper and steelo pad method to clean up the calipers - I figure it's asking for trouble trying to get those sandblasted.
As for the metal bits I'm really starting to lean towards sandblasting and powdercoating for the frame and struts.
The heavily oxidised brake master cylinder has come up nicely with some sandpapers and will look good once I've used the wet and dry to get them nice and smooth again. I'm sure these will look good with some new black enamel on them. As for the cylinders, I do believe a new piston kit is probably going to be a good idea.
Leaning towards buying (urgh) some braided lines for the RF and using the old brake lines to replace the ones on the Kat but not sure at the moment...
