I hope everyone is reaping a good harvest.Too many tomatoes again this year...but interesting stuff. I lost half my tomato plants in that cold windy snap in spring,but I found some more at a market.They were Black Prince,Black Cherry,Brown Brandywine and Snowball.The snowball is white,freaky stuff,and the others are dark.Chopping up tomatoes for a pasta,and there is all colours in there...loving it.
Lost all my black toms to something...can I scrounge seeds from you for next year? will pay postage once they are dry
Yes Motu, a good year for the tomato! I harvested enough to fill a bucket last night, and then roasted them all with olive oil and salt for an hour. Once cooled they were put through an invention the partner acquired, which separates the skins and seeds from the "good stuff". We also lost a few plants with the strong winds. The beetroot seems rather slow to produce this year, but pumpkins are coming along very nicely indeed!
