    So I am dredging this old thread really but figured nobody would read it in that part of the forum - Race-fuel-in-the-S-I Just got me a bike where the manual recommends 98 octane. The three stations near me only go to 95 so it is a 30km round trip to Dunedin to fill up at one of the self serve...

    22mm axle

    presently on the lookout for a 22mm axle around 285/290 long... i see some motocross bikes have them but surely not 290 long. its for a track bike- the swing arm is made for a 20mm axle but apart from being puny the slots are quite loose (maybe 20.4 or so) . 25 is real tempting but that'll reduce...

    Protest ride


    Tuesday 4th December


    This is an opportunity for all motorists to show your concern about the dangers of wire
    rope barriers ("Cheese Cutters") on New Zealand roads.
    If you feel these are a danger to motorcyclists and other road users, then join this protest ride
    to raise the public profile of the campaign to stop the
    construction of these and to improve the safety of existing barriers.

    Leaving: Yacht basin on Redoubt St, Taupo.

    Meet at 11:15 For 11:45 Departure

    Destination: ROAD SAFETY BARRIER SYSTEMS WORKSHOP, Suncourt Motor Hotel & Conference Centre.
    Approx 15-20 mins riding
    NB: there are no toilets, food stores or petrol pumps there.
