    Bloody Mad Woman (BMW) RIP

Shirley Clare McNabb - Bloody Mad Woman (BMW) passed away at 10:25pm 27/05/2009 after a short illness.

She was my friend and the friend of alot of other people both here and in many other parts of her life. I would call all of you personally to tell you but there are too many. She never gave in and fought every step of the way for everything in her life. And she never stopped living it in spite of all the trials she had to live through. She is free now.

    Ride well Forrest, my friend.

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Such devastating news to hear of a woman who fought till the end. My condolences goes to Shirley's family, friends (especially you Col) and all those KBer's who knew her. I know that all of us from the Victoria Motorcycle Club who worked with Shirley while she was the Clubs Secretary will be saddened by her passing. RIP Shirl and your memory will live on with all of us who knew you forever.

Well, given the absolute shit she's been through lately, all I can say is at least now she's at rest. Her KB name should've been "Bloody Tough Woman". No-one should've had to go through what she experienced.

I'm sad that I didn't get to meet her (she was all set to come up here, and was going to meet me for coffee, but everything turned to custard).
    Rest in Peace, Shirl.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Sorry to hear that Col, my thoughts go out to you and her close friends on here !
One of the unfortunate ones who never got close to BMW, but drew strength from what she went through and achieved !
Amazing woman i know that much !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

My thoughts are with her family and friends.

I never had the pleasure of meeting BMW in person but we have shared many similar views and laughs on this forum.
