    Hey Vics,
It would be bloody awesome to have BEARs meetings up here again. The Northern and Central BEARs meetings in the 90's were fantastic, but sadly they died a slow and painful death. I suspect there were a whole bunch of issues behind that but falling numbers and variety of BEARs bikes plus the normal problem of the same club members doing everything year in year out and then getting a gutsful of it was most likely the primary reason.
I would imagine some of those Northern and Central BEARs club members are still about and perhaps a response and input from them would be a kick start to get the clubs going again.
Obviously it takes dedicated and passionate people to get these things underway and I could easily rabbit on about a squillion negative reasons why it probably won't, but I really hope I'm wrong.
With all the great BEARs bikes on the market now the grids would be very very interesting.
You can count on me for support.

Sounds great Flame-I am looking forward to getting my Buell out and about-(I see it has been `thrown in' with a couple of Triumphs in the other thread)-I think it will get over the shock Its getting used to them now though and I know a `Bear admirer` who would like to take it for a spin if he's lucky.

Oh dear, another sad little post from the man who thinks sarcasm is wit.

Tony, Just paint the yellow bits matt black & leave a few crankcase bolts a bit loose & you will fit right in. Oh & whilst your at it convert the engine to a pushrod or belt cam drive.

Dedicated bears event sounds good. But Vicky will have to lend me her bike though as she will be to busy organizing everyone aye Vicky

Hey Glen, ya codgey old bastard:laugh :. Those comments ... the bits about loose crank bolts and black paint ... ouch, just plain nasty.
The truth is, BEARs meetings, especially the SOT, ARE different.
From my experience I reckon it's because there does seem to be more emphasis on passion for what you ride rather than how you ride it.
I think that's the thing that makes the SOT so cool .... lots of guys who put their heart and soul into their bikes.

I guess I'm going to get shot to pieces for the comments, but sorry Jappa jockeys .... from the BEARs perspective .... you've missed the point

Hello mr "M"?, just having a joke, - the more motorcycle racing of any type that goes on the better IMO, dont care wether its buckets, rice-rockets or Harley sportsters with ape hangers - they all have two wheels & sound great.

Now three wheels - theres another story.........
