Mountain biking is great fun. Usually just do trails at Woodhill or Roto, but I did the 42nd traverse a couple years back, that was pretty hardcore for me. I'd like to do the rail trail and the Queen Charlotte track too.
Like doing a little bit of freestyle, nothing flash or extreme, that shit just scares me (I am conscious of my mortality unlike those nutters on NWD: unchained), but drop offs, raised paths, jumps and interesting obstacles that tests your skills are more fun than just chugging up and down bush tracks.

I've got a Specialized Hardrock sport (or comp? hardtail, mechanical discs).
I occasionally do trails at woodhill, not big on the big jumps etc though, I know I'd just hurt myself. I must have a poor sense of balance or something, I still can't wheelie without veering off to the side.
I'd go to woodhill more often, if it weren't for the fact it makes my back and/or knees hurt.
It's heaps of fun when I do though.

Just got back from Woodhill a couple hours ago, the carpark was packed today. Thankfully the place is so big once you head out you don't run into much traffic. I was experimenting with a video camera mount, talk about 'epic fail'. Bloody camera flew about 10 feet through the air about 2 minutes in. Maybe Mk III will have more luck (Mk I didn't even make it out of the garage...)

    I ride a 08 yeti 575, mostly woodhill/riverhead and street.

Most enjoyable type of exercise I have managed to find.

I miss my single - but my knee is rooted.

I like chair lifts (or modded Landy's), but the downhill bits seem to be bad for my skeletal alignment. Honestly, I'm sick of spending summers in plaster...

The 'dale is good for uphill, after years of full sussers, living with a HT is great. I had a Bad Boy for a few days in Minneapolis, and I latched on to a bunch ride. It's hard case, sitting with Roadies when you're on MTB keeping up just fine...

Best day out? Vegas with MadBikeBabe, and poocho trying to keep up.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

Has it ever bothered you that Therapist is The Rapist if you break the word in two? It bothers me, especially when they suggest hypnosis.
