Just use 2k man 2k paint has no thinner in it so it wont eat into your helmet.
I have painted heaps of helmets it works well

Looks like a winner. What about the clear coats. Any in particular to go for or steer away from?

If you use 2K as crazefox suggested, you won't need clearcoat.

you got it owl or you can put 2k clear over it
