I asume cos it adds interest and fun, the quick swap of photos has become random, having to work for and think about the tag I would have thought would have made for more intrest... sorry to those I have upset (boreing softies)

If it existed back then it would be a good place for the Dobson's to have stayed while making the road to Otira and would have fallen out of use once the railway was operating because it's the wrong side of the river.

Unless there's maybe somewhere around Lake Lyndon/Pearson/Grasmere. Although come to think of it I think the road has been moved in the last century (aside from Old West Coast road of course). Old maps anybody?

if fact there is at least 10 clues I posted. and you are on the case, it began the rebuild as a hotel over 10yrs ago, but has been dorment for a few years again... the building has recently been opened to the road with the removal of trees and bush on the east side... the main entrance still partly stands but you have to look close as its semie covered in the hedge.

If you don't want to play by them then it's up to Transalper to set a new tag as you haven't put a new one up within the 24 hr limit

Yes I do, you notice the bit about "when a tag is picked up"

A copy and paste of what you put up meant there was less thinking about it than most other tags

I think we went with the first person to go back and retag the last one and put up a new one in the same post, or that may have been another areas game. Either way I dont really have time today.

D's co-ordinates put us in the riverbed by Courtney.
D, thought the building you seemed to describe was supposed to be closed so I doubt you'd get a drink there either.
I thought it might be demolished by now.

well my last attempt to get the cheating goggleites thrown off the scent didnt work
How is using Google to confirm the location of the tags Cheating?. That is just plain Stupid, Half the fun is knowing that other people know where it is and then trying to get there first. Some of us have jobs and/or lives and cant spend all day roving canterbury looking for an obscure gate/statue/fountain/church or in the case of your tag? thin air!!!. If you make it too hard no one will play and then you will have to play with yourself!!!!.

Bit hard to dispute really, the find me photo is still missing.
Assuming it is that then I don't see any reason it couldn't have been shown along with the first clues in the original post.
