I dunno what you do for a living FJ, but I'm fairly certain it must involve travelling the length and breadth of the country memorising every possible place, monument and building in the South Island!

I can honestly say it isn't the church in Tuahiwi. Googled it. It looks different.

It's not the one on South Eyre Rd either, I googled that one. Roof's the wrong colour and too many enough trees.
The views expressed above may not match yours - But that's the reason my Dad went to war - wasn't it?

I propose for these somewhat obscure tags, a general distance from the square be given, short (<25), medium (<50), large (<100), and maybe even a general bearing N/W/S/E, might quicken the pace of the game during summer.
I agree with the first sentence and second the second sentence. All in favour say aye? AYE!AYE!AYE!AYE!AYE!AYE!AYE! All against say nay...

Well folks majority rules on this one, all obscure tags must have distance and direction. Come on Dangerous lets get this one moving!

Easier tags may get more people playing again. Not that i've ever scored a tag but I like looking at the pretty pictures and guessing

Crieky, all ya need to do is ask... no one had yet and um, see two posts up!
If you do the math and /x+-= you will get a average speed, which will in turn tell you if its up hill, down hiill or down a long straight flat road... but remember to take in to account, I aint no slouch.

man, you people complain if its to easy, to hard, different, next door...

Never was good at maths, I just copied my brothers. If I got this right your average speed was 48.75km/h.

See never was good at maths

The answer you were looking for Gareth is 86.67 k/hr average.

    65/45 = 1.4 K/minute
    1.4 * 60 = 86.67

To clarify Mr Dangerous Man, do you mean that the distance from said petrol station to the tag is 65k, or is it 32.5k (65k return trip)?

65km each way and 45min's each way... unless you want to take a adventuer bike in which you can take an entirely different route.

So we could assume then that 65k's is a fairly direct route for a street bike then, you didn't do some serious zig zaggy business to throw us off your scent?
