Only one sealed way to get there, and yes the most direct.

Would I see this exact picture from the roadway, or did you have to go off the road to take it.

Is this place somewhere between Little River and Duvauchelle?

You're right, it was a giveaway.

Don't think I'd make it before dark, maybe tomorrow.

    Pidgeon Bay Church

The new tag was taken on the way back, so you can expect it to be on a road between Pidgeon Bay and Christchurch, that narrows it down eh.

Now that I look again, there is a church marked on the topomap in pigeon bay, it's just bloody hard to see.

It's a bit of a stretch to include Halswell in 'town' isn't it.....

It's only 65k's from there to chch, how hard can it be to check every road that might have a playground on it in between

    It's a reserve from memory.

I travelled about 24 ks from Pidgeon Bay by road according to Google before I came to the new tag.

It's on the road side, clearly in view, I went past it only once on the Pidgeon Bay tag collection ride.

Afraid not FJ, doesn't look like the sat view of the place to me.

Time for some more clues maybe...

A Homing Pidgeon would take about 15 minutes flight time from pidgeon bay, at an average speed for Homing Pidgeons. The real question is however, if Transalp and Dangerous had a bit of a race between the old tag and the new tag... who would win.
