It's usually D giving people the hurry up, but I figured he wouldn't this time, so someone had to.

Anyway, was going to head out to the gorge tomorrow and see how the river level was looking, so now I need somewhere else to go.

Past the 24hr time limit you could go pick the gorge one up and set a new one if you really wanted

An arboretum (plural: arboreta) in a narrow sense is a collection of trees only. Related collections include a fruticetum (from the Latin frutex, meaning shrub), and a viticetum, a collection of vines. More commonly, today, an arboretum is a botanical garden containing living collections of woody plants
So... we are looking for a forest, in canterbury, be it somewhat of an old one.

Well I went and had a look at the Lake Coleridge Arboretum, couldn't find that sign though. Could well be there but was stinking hot and couldn't handle stopping for long.

Type in the 3 prominent words for this and it comes up as no3 on google... The Arboretum had over 800 species of trees by 1908 so yes quite significant for canterbury

ps I still havent seen or found it but have been lerning about the area, Coalgate was just that, the gate to the coal... Glen Tunnel again just that a tunnel in the glen (valley) were the coal came from, still parts of railway line and even the statain platform is in some ones back yard... coal track road was the trackthat lead direct to Coalgate and the tunnel... interesting I must check out the tag aparently remains of the house is still there even if oddly enough trees have growen through it.

I think I know where it is, and D told me I was turning the wrong way the other day, just shows you never know what you're going to spot when you go exploring a different way home.
