I used to belong to a fundamentalist church many years ago, so I picked it as satire within a couple of posts. I enjoyed it though. The posters (apart from the nutjobs who took it seriously - of which there were actually very few; most were playing along or playing a role) were very creative and most had put some effort into their posts.

I'd imagine too that most fundamentalist religions would ban their members from browsing the Evil Interdweeb anyway - they'd decry it as a tool of Satan, or at the very least, as an evil temptation.

Yep. The fact that there was no new posts for all the threads suggested to me that this was a pisstake.

I'd come across the church in another link but did not make the connection untill later.
