And is she/he going a bit better/whole lot better. The solution i found to the almightly clutch wear question is just get a bigger bike. That way when pulling a mono you don't have to dump the clutch just a little flick does the trick.Originally Posted by Velox

The world stands aside to let anyone pass who knows where he is going....
Guy at my work had a new clutch fitted to his TL1000 today, only done 35,000ks - was told by the mechanic at Hladane's that that's pretty good for one of those
It is better to have ridden & crashed than never to have ridden at all
Yeah - I don't have to treat it like a moody little kid and watch everything I do in case I set it off! Now I can just open the throttle up and it'll go with no probs. Luuuuuxury!Originally Posted by aff-man
35,000!!! I don't know much about clutch life (hence the original Q) but that seems really short!
Yes and no. It all depends on how you set your clutch up. If you have it set up so it rides a lot, or dumps. Also if you upshift using your clutch a lot that can wear it(basically riding it). And well 35000km is retty short but have you been doing wheelies or slipper starts (drag racing) etc etcOriginally Posted by Velox

My clutch is already going bye bye, I'm gunna stop those random front getting up antics when I'm by myself now :P, ZXR is alot easier to dump than the ZZR was.
But clutch is alittle weak, slips abit on release sometime.
hey velox--iffn I were you Id fit a set of fork gaiters. I know theyll look naff but they'll save ya fork oil from leaking onto the front brakes
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
